Does anyone know about how long it takes to hear back from medchoice if you apply online? I submitted my application online, but it just said "thanks for applying", no answer or email or anything.

Stormi, since you are 49, there are things you need to have checked before even beginning the TR process. You need to have your ob/gyn do some tests on the 3rd day of your cycle - you should get your FSH checked (this will give an idea of what kind of egg reserve you still have) if the number is over 9, you may have a hard time conceiving, if its much higher, then there could be problems.

I tried that too they told me no. They said I may want to have my DH call and see if he can get one. But I am just not sure cause I have heard some many bad things about them. I am still saving and waiting on my w2's so the tax money can help us out. Miranda

Im sorry it took me soooo long to reply, I was working on this that entire day. Anyway, Julia, your email to the rep at MedChoice worked. I told him I had not received any calls from Citizens Finance Company or messages left on my voice mail. I actually stayed home all day Monday waiting for them to call. I then called the Rep at MedChoice and ended up getting his voice mail and left a message. After your note and call to MedChoice, he called me back and apologized for the confusion and he gave me a number to try and get through to Citizens bank myself. It was crazy, I called for 2 hours straight (every 10 minutes) and talked to several different receptionists and when I finally asked for a manager they put me through to the person I needed to speak to. I then had to call the rep back after finally getting in touch with Citizens myself and he called Ericka on 3 way to set everything up for the wire transfer. I learned persistence with this. Apparently there are tons of people applying for loans and I get the feeling they are overwhelmed.

Dr. B. won't join any plans for financing. There are WAAAAAAAY too many stipulations placed on the doctor doing the surgery. Plus, I think that Dr.B would be responsible for collecting loan payments in certain cases and he didn't want to do that. Way back in the day (2004) I looked into that when I had my TR done, and the loan company I checked with wanted to be able to make the decision of whether you could have surgery or not! I think I'd rather have a doctor making medical decisions about whether I was healthy enough to ahve surgery, and not some guy behind a desk in California at a loan company, kwim?!?

I have just got approved through Capitalone for this surgery. Capitalone will contact Chapel Hill to confirm the price, and to see whether or not the doctor will join their listing. Just a little fyi.

Ericka and I both contacted Med Choice personally to find out what was happening. The Rep responded that Citizens Finance Company had attempted to reach you several times since Monday afternoon (2 hours after they received your documents). He states that their last attempt was yesterday afternoon and they have not been able to make contact nor get a return call. He was unaware of any calls he missed from you.
Ericka and I both communicated with his supervisor as well, so I hope this will be resolved quickly. Please let us know if there are any more problems.

I am trying to find out if anybody is having difficulty with Medchoice. Its turning out to be nothing like they stated. I got approved last week for a loan for the remainder of my surgery (only $2000.00 was needed). They made me put 10% down $200 making my loan really $1800. My loan officer then stated if I got the documents back to him by Friday this whole process would be done and they would by sending the monies to Chapel Hill by Monday or Tuesday( I sent everything Priority overnight mail. Well its Thursday (2 days after their self-imposed deadline) and not only have I not heard anything from MedChoice(not even returning phone calls) but when I call them it goes directly to vocie mail. It is now Thursday, and I'm sure im going to end up losing my surgery date that I was desperately hoping for. It's not bad enough that the financing fees for the $1800 was actually $807.64 (and it doesnt matter if you pay it off in 3,6, or 9 months) you still have to pay the entire $2600 + back to them. The only benefit in paying it off early is you dont have to pay additional interest charges. Again, I have still not heard anything from MEDCHOICE even though my 10% percent has been paid, all my documentation is in to them and my Supervisor has been calling the office for 2 days trying to return their call for verification of employment (still getting a voice Mail for someone named Michelle). This company is not turning out to be very professional. Just a little miffed right now and wanted all of you ladies who are considering MedChoice to know what I'm experiencing!
