Ladies, please make sure that you get your response from the insurance companies in writing. I've seen so many cases where the patient was advised that a service was covered but once the actual claim that you submit is reviewed, it is denied-because it is an elective procedure.

After you go to CH and have the TR they will give you a paper you need. After that you just have to fill out a clam form and send it in. I would make copies. Then wait. I talked to the lady and I only need to pay so much out of pocket after that any medical stuff done as long as I fill out a clam they should pay some back on. Hope this helped.

Ok thanks. I just found out my company put a rider on all of our policies stating that this specific procedure is not covered so now it's a mute point. Oh well didnt' hurt to try . [Smile]

Miranda what do you mean that they BCBSNC will pay back a part of what you pay out of pocket. I have BCBSof NC and I have already paid for my TR it is scheduled 8/4/08 and Im wondering if there is maybe a way I can get something back. Jennifer in NC

From what I get you still have to prepay everything with CH then fill after the TR with Blue Cross. I have Blue Cross and they do not cover TR at all, they will only pay back a part of what I pay out of pocket.

Does anyone know how I could get this procedure precertified through my Blue Cross (if they cover it) if Dr. Berger's office doesn't do the calling to insurance companies at all?
