In case this helps anyone, I have been trying to see if my insurance would pay the tr. We got an answer of no..last week. then yesterday my husband called again. The exact words were this is covered 100%, if the doctor deems this procedure to repair the tubes, necessary. I got so excited I cried all day LOL anyway, key word ladies is "repair" and getting your primary care physician or gyno to "deem it necessary". If anyone is having ptls, then go with that, it would be easier to get it covered than just saying you want a baby. There will still be a lot of insurances that won't cover it all but it's worth a try. I have pacificare/hmo

I paid the $5900 one time fee and put it on a credit card with the intentions of paying it off within 6 months. I figured this opportunity is my only chance at having a baby and I am not getting any younger. I am scheduled for 4/1

I just mailed my op report to CH yesterday. I haven't even begun to save any money or anything, so there's no hurry. I just want to hear that I have a chance to get TR and hopefully get some relief from PTLS. I would love to be able to schedule with Dr. M and save the $1,000., but that is pretty much a lost cause. Please pray for me that I can find a way to come up with the money soon.

I am talking about the 6900.00. After doing all my adding up I think I am just going to wait and save it all up the payment plan way. It will teach me how to save nonetheless. Plus its 1000.00 cheaper that way. Hubby wont be home from Iraq til the end of this year anyhow. I got plenty of time. I am hoping I can just do it without him here and then be all healed up by the time he comes home so we can start baby dancin right away. 15 months is a long time ladies!!
My husband makes great money however I hav ethe I want it now syndrome... Once I decide on something I want it now and I am no0t waiting on a payment plan.. We came up with a portion in cash and took an advance on his IRA for the rest and paid all at once, Saved that 1000...
And let me tell you it was all worth it. I am right now pregnant and expecting a baby boy in 6 weeks....

Well I am glad to know I am not the only one out there that doesnt just have this kind of money lying around. I wish I did though. Hubby is so excited. I cant wait either. I am working as much as I can to get it paid for along with hubbys checks. Thank god for the US ARMY and knowing they always pay. LOL. Guaranteed paycheck! Lets just say I have the next year budgeted out for this so I know it will be paid for by the fall if not sooner!! Plus gettin other bills paid off so we can be debt free by Christmas! Thanks Ladies. This has been very stressful for me!!

Chris- I would love to make higher payments on my credit cards, but with only my husband working we pretty much live paycheck to paycheck. There is never any extra for anything. Every payday we pay our bills and then see how much we have left for groceries-and it's never enough. It's probably ridiculous for me to think I can possibly do this, but I just HAVE TO!
I know what ya mean about your DH wanting to kill you...I once charged $4,600 to a credit card to pay for our ferret's vet bill. AND HE DIED ANYWAY! I thought my DH was having an aneurysm right in front of me. lol.
I know the interest rate on a cash advance is high, but only you can decide if it is worth it. You can reduce the total amount of interest paid if you make significant monthly payments, not just the required minimum. ie: If you borrow $7,000 and your monthly payment is $260, try to pay at least $500 every month. They can't charge you interest for money you no longer owe ;-)
I have a degree in Creative Money Management. hehe. I think 'desperation', not 'neccesity' is the mother of invention!
