Just an FYI to keep everyone updated. The reduced $4900 rate for Dr. Monteith will definitely not be extended past September 1, 2008. I did not want anyone to wait to scheduling thinking that it might be available after September 1.
Also, the hotel rate offered to our patients is much, much less than the rate offered to the general public! I am sorry if someone gave you the wrong information. Our patients receive a nightly rate of $81.00 -- nearly a 50% savings off the usual rate.

hey Marilynn I live in Cherryville its about 30 min or so from charlotte depending on traffic if you have never heard of it I live about 15 min from Gastonia. When are you plannin on scheduling or do you even know yet and what doc are you planning on using? I scheduled with Dr. Monteith so I could get the 1000 discount because I figured if Dr. B trust him I have no reason not to I am scheduled for 8/4/08! Come join us in the waiting room. Jennifer in NC

hey jennifer, i'm sharon aka -marilynn. i live in charlotte, nc- not too far from chapel hill. about 1 1/2 hrs. i haven't scheduled my tr yet, but we are selling the house and hopefully some of the proceeds from the sale can go towards the surgery. where in nc do you live?

Losing weight is a struggle. Pat yourself on the back for doing this to be in the best possible health before your TR. I hope having this goal makes it somewhat easier to stick with your diet. Best wishes to all of the ladies who are trying to lose weight. Sally,RN

Hi Tonya I am doing great! Congrats on the promotion, I know how that must feel exciting and scary at the same time Im sure gl in whatever you decide. Is it just me or does the countdown seem to fly by I started at like 150 something days now Im down to 130 something man. I am also trying to lose weight and man its hard I walk 1 mile every day and drink nothing but water and try to eat tons of veggies but sometimes I cant help myself to eat a piece of cake or something LOL! Anyways I hope your having a great day.
Are there any ladies who have also scheduled for 8/4/08?

Hi Tonya I am going to have my TR done July 1st , If I have all the weight off by then. I have already lost 35 pounds. I would love to make new friends that are going down the same road I am. I am 37 years of age. And my parents are so against me doing this TR , But I have to do what makes me and my husband happy , They think I am to old. So it just helps to have people to talk to that are on the same page as me. So i hope to talk to you again soon. Thanks Linda
I'm scheduled for July 21st! Let me know when you decide to schedule..maybe it will be at the same time.
As far as weight loss, boy do I know your struggle. The advice I can give you is to focus on vegetables and protiens....and I promise you the weight will FALL off.

Brenda I called CH and the rate that is listed on Dr. Bs website is the CH rate if you were to just stay there as a normal person LOL I think the guy said it was like 200 a night. Jennifer

Oh, just read the info about hotel-guess I was wrong. I don't know why I thought that. Don't get me wrong, it's still a great deal. I was just confused. Thanks for the help.

So the hotel stay isn't included? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the hotel stay was covered with Dr.B, and the only additional cost was travel.

Hi Brenda yes the $4900 does include everything that you will need except of course your hotel stay. The reduced fee of $4900 is good until Sept 1 and then after that it is $5900 however when I called and scheduled my appt I asked the nurse if there was a great demand for Dr. M at the reduced rate would they consider extending the reduced rate period and she said it was def a possibility. Hi- I've been reading about Dr. Monteith and he sounds great! I have a couple of questions-maybe somebody knows the answers. -Does the $4,900. fee include everything just like with Dr. Berger? -What will the fee with Dr. Monteith be after August 2008?
