I am having surgery April 1 and was hoping to connect with someone else scheduled for the same day. I am extremely nervous and excited at the same time. My husband and I already have 3 boys, 14,7,6. We had a bilateral done with 3 cm taken when I had the ligation. I am just hoping to leave with renewed hope and long tubes!!
Ladytaoufik welcome, my TR is on the 24th this coming Monday. I am so excited.
Dawn could you e-mail me at ranisheets23@yahoo.com I would like to ask you something? Thank you.
Tonight I am finding that I am some what gassy. I am not sure if it is nerves or if it is where I had my AF last week. I am trying to watch what I eat cause I do not want to upset my nerves tummy any more than it is,lol. Besides that I am great and I am so looking forward to being on the other side.
Jo will you still be at home on Monday? I need someone I can have post in the room how I am doing if I do not feel up to getting to the computer room at the hotel. Miranda

I'd just like to say what a wonderful job you do here for the ladies in the waiting room! You should be very proud of yourself..
My the TR list is at aug already!
I remember only to well what the "waiting" was like waiting for TR!! Thank heavens for the waiting room, I know i would never have made it through without this room and all the support from the other sisters now crossed over the otherside and TTC...
It is just so nice to pop back in here and see this room blooming!!! It's great to see the TR list growing and seeing who is going on the dates that all us 07 ladies went for our TR last year!
Keep up the good work!!
To all the ladies in waiting good luck to you all on your up coming TR!! CH is a wonderful place and you could not wish to be in better hands than DR B and his staff!!! They are the best!!! Your TR dates will be here before you all know it, wishing you all long and healthy tube's!!!

I agree with you. I'll be so annoyed with him.. I think it's a Mom thing. It's hard to switch out of that role and have someone care for you. He's going back to work on Friday. His partner will need a day off by then. I have some gf's on stand by if I need them to come hang out. My kids will be with Dad and Step Mom for a few weeks. That's a big help

KitKat, Your very welcome, thats what we are here for
I sent you a msg also through Miranda. It's wonderful to meet with the other ladies at the hotel. What a great support system! All the DH's were great also. It is nice to be cared for by DH for a day or so, then you'll be like me and telling him to go back to work LOL. WoW, talk about overly protective. My DH took vacation to be with me afterwords...Geez, I love him so much, but he's driving me crazy and won't let me do anything except wipe my own rearend.
Wanted to mention also in case you didn't know to keep all your receipts from travel to CH...all eats, Wal-Mart stuff, hotel stay, receipt for TR, plane tickets, rent-a-car, even your gas and mileage to and from the airport can be deducted..ALL of it....you can use this as a tax deduction for 2008 taxes under medical! Our CPA was great at telling us this before we had this done. GL to you all! Luv ya, Jo

Jenny H. That sounds close to what I had. I was able to get my hands on my pathology report from the lab. You probably can call the hospital where it was done and ask for Records and the lab report should be on file and on that it will say how long the segments the doctor took. I had 1.5 and 1.0 taken. Good luck.
Jo thank you for all the help and preparing us. I actaully wnat to thank everyone on here. You guys have been such a great support. It really helps to talk to other woman who are going through the same thing.
Miranda I will send you an e-mail with my number. The DH and I are renting a car so it will be easy for us to run out if anyone needs anything. I wasn't planning on renting a car but DH wants to hit a college hockey game Tuesday night.
Small bills in cash is good to have on hand before you get to the hotel. (we found out the hard way). Also, the ice and drink/snack machines are on the 2nd floor. The resturant is also on the 2nd floor. They don't have alot to choose from but what they do have was absolutly wonderful. So was our room service. Although it was very pricey. The breakfast is all you can eat buffet style and is very reasonable and lots to choose from. We stayed extra days before TR so we got to check out alot. We took the shuttle to Wal-Mart and picked up drinks, snacks, etc. to stock our fridge with in our room. We flew in so we had to do it that way. When we left, we passed on our unopened goodies left over that we couldn't take on the flight to the Ch staff and other TR patients in the hotel. Plastic ware is a good item to pack or pick up in CH. Don't forget your quart and gallon size baggies for your ice packs after TR. On the flight back home, if your flying, you can put the baggies in your purse or carry-on and once you clear the check point you can stop and get ice in it for your flight back home. It helps to put it under your seat-belt on the plane with a small pillow. When flying, you can call and request a wheelchair on the return flight. This was so helpful. I didn't get bumped into or stress myself out from walking in the huge airport!
Miranda, PoeticSunshine, and Kitkat, Whoo Hoo you all are right around the corner! Time will go by so fast now
pthomson- So glad to hear from ya! I'm glad your feeling better. Day 3 (Thur.)after TR was the worst for me. It was just alot of soreness and tenderness though. I'm still moving really slow. Sat. I get to take these itchy steri-strips off, thank goodness.
bostonlass- DH said the fist night I kinda rolled onto my side half way..but I was not trying to. Wed night I was comfortable enough to roll onto my side and get a goodnight sleep. I'm a tummy sleeper, so that part went better than I had expected! I'm still not on my tummy sleeping. Maybe next week though.
Donna, Hope your DH got in ok..I haven't heard from ya so I'm guessing he did Enjoy him being home and hollar at me when ya get a chance. (No rush!)

Good morning Ladies, I am feeling much better this morning, I got a good night sleep in my own bed. The pain from the TR was not that bad,I think it was the long flight home and sitting in the airport that did me in. If you can stay 1 more day after the surgery it will be better on you if you have far to travel. Sorry I am rambling on and on. Miranda, kitkat,PoeticSunshine,SherryMarch31,and 1redbone good luck and you all are in my prayers, see you on the other side soon.
