HI CATE Welcome to the room if you have any ?'s pls feel free to ask as we will try and answer all we know I had my TR last thursday and I too have PTLS and I didn't need a DR to tell me... I wish you the best and again if you need anything let us know..Have a great day Donna
I am new to the Waiting Room. Have not scheduled my TR yet due to saving the money for it all. No rush since DH is in Iraq. I have until December but I am sure if my budget is correct, it should be paid for no later than October! Thank god for IRS stimulus payments to help out!! After reading the symptoms of PTLS I am so certain that (even though I have not been diagnosed) I am having the symptoms of that. Its like a constant day on PMS and the drive well I am sure for y'all ladies that have it you understand. I just feel bad for my poor husband. Anyhow I cant wait to have this and have lots of more babies. Dr. B got my report and stated that my tubes are ready and I should have enough to have another baby. Hopefully more than 1. I'll take whatever God gives me! Hope to get to know y'all!

Hi ladies: Well, I made it to the other side. The whole experience has been very positive so far. Dr. Berger and his entire staff are wonderful. The anesthesia was great. I didn't have any nausea afterwards and very little pain so far. My tube lengths: right = 4.5 and left = 3.5. I slept pretty much all day yesterday, but feel well enough to go for a drive today with DH. We're thinking of checking out Durham and the Duke campus. We don't fly back to Houston until tomorrow AM. Take care everybody. Jean.

Thank you Jo. So it want be as bad as my c-sections. I had staples with both of them. I heal fast so I should do great. I was happy to read it was in the middle instead of over on a side. The side is what got me with the c-sections. Thank you.
Hope everyone has a great day. Talk to you all later. I will be with the 5-7 years old today. Miranda

Miranda, Hey sweetie! OK, I'm going to attempt to explain this..bear with me lol. Just asked my Dh to help me explain it and made him look b/c I can't see it up close yet. I think your thinking of the laproscope procedure with the 2 to 3 holes etc. b/c my scar is about ummm 4 inches long (guesstimate)and straight across above the pubic bone in the line. I have steri-strips over the incision and 2 stitches at both ends. I was instructed to remove the steri-stips at 5 days after TR and cut below stitches at 10 days after TR. They will explain this in great detail before you come home, and they will show you how to do it. They gave me another gause pad in my take home bag but I did not have to use it b/c I didn't bleed. I took the gause pad and tape off of my incision the next morning before I showered and before Rhonda RN came to check me. I can tell that the scar will not be noticeable where it is located! Dr. Berger makes beautiful incisions! Just keep it clean and DRY. This will be on your paperwork after your discharged from TR. As of tonight I still do not even have any bruising near the incision. I kind of expected at least that. All the worrying I did prior to TR did not help with my anxiety level but on a positive note, I did get my questions in order for the nurse after TR b/c if your like I was you won't remember all the questions after you get your goodie juice! I kept a list of my ?'s in a notebook and the next morning when Rhonda came to check me she was very kind and patient with me and answered all mine and DH's questions. I was very impressed with the one on one care I received the next morning with Rhonda. I received great care on the day of my TR also...I was just loopy after my goodie juice (meds) so I just hope I was nice and friendly to all of them b/c I can't remember to much after the juice. HTH you!!! I know how important it is to ask the ?'s b/c if I hadn't spoke with Donna and Jenn before my TR, I know things would have been harder for me. They helped me get prepaired and it helps to have someone that has just gone through it also! I have tried to be as supportive as I could to the other women who were there the same time as I was and after b/c I know how much the ladies supported me and I wanted to return the favor. I've met some wonderful people this past week, whom I'll never ever forget! Sorry so long, but wanted u to know you will be in great hands and if you need us we are here for you!!! Love, JO

Ok Donna, Jo, or Trish. I want to know what kind of cut I will have. Different doctors do this different ways. Some make 3 small holes others 2. What does Dr.B do? Just wanting to know what kind of scare and where it will be. Thank you. And do they give yo stuff to have you change the dressing on it or is it just the tape and nothing more? Sorry I am getting nerves as the days go. Miranda

Girls I am LOL at you all. I e-mailed CH earlier today about this topic. I have not heard from them yet. When I do I will post it for everyone. I just do not want to take anything that will hurt how the TR goes and my healing time. Well after the good laugh I am off to bed. Hope you all have a great night. Miranda

leann sc, I waited until day of TR to take the Gas-X and stool softeners but I wish I would have taken the stool softener earlier...however, you may want to clear this with one of the nurses before TR to make sure it won't interfere with your anesthesia. -Jo
