Bostonlass, Sorry I'm still LOL at Donna...BUT thank goodness I learned from her misfortunes ha ha (Luv ya Donna ) She gave me the heads up from what she went through so I was better prepaired with Gas-X and stool softners (Colace) on hand. Thanks to Donna's info I was breaking wind same day as TR!!!! It only took me until this morning to have a BM, so only 2days after TR. BELIEVE me when this happens you will feel like a NEW WOMEN! LOL. That part was so refreshing that I hope TTC will feel as good. j/k Seriously though it is a great relief! We can leave it to Donna to be upfront and so bold with the info! Thanks for the humor on the board to wake us up this afternoon lol! Hey, I even LOL and it didn't hurt my incision or tummy...YEA! -Jo

donnavan- question for you, did u take the stool softener and gas-x right after surg, or did u start before the surg. what is best. leann sc tr 4/7/08

UGHHH I ate what I wanted I was starving lol I couldn't get rid of the gas I went and got Gas X and I went almost 2 full days b4 i finally did...I couldn't wait to FART LOL I had never wished for that in all of my life..It took me 5 days b4 I had a BM also but I still took the stool softners and helped when I finally did But as far as waiting for food you have to be kidding me I ate a hour b4 my c-section I just can't be starving now I paid for it on the table but again it was worth it haha..Good Luck Breaking wind Donna

For those of you who are on the other side.............the notes say to wait until you pass gas before eating solid foods after the TR..........how long before ya broke wind?

Tessa, kitkat, and Donna thank you very much. My packing is going well. I still need to g Friday and get a few things. My DH has not even started. Said he would put some things together Saturday,lol. I have to write a paper for school about me and while I am in early childhood. I just want to write getting TR, LOL. I am finding it hard to focus on any thing else.
On a funny note my dad came home yesterday saying he was a movie star now. He works in furniture and has for over 30 years. Some people showed up from Cal.. and paid him 500 dollars to film him working and talking for 2 hours. He was beside himself. He said they put makeup on him. To help with how funny this is my dad is an ex Marine/ navy man that stands 6 foot 2 in tall and weighs over 200 pounds. He is a preacher and loves the great out doors. What they call here a mans man. I had to LOL at them putting makeup on him. Hope you all have a great day. Miranda

Hi ladies I am new to this thread I am 43 and finally have the money for tr.I just have to sign papers for loan next week.I also have low blood platelets so Dr.Hertz must approve my surgery.I am going to my ob today and then hopefully to the hemo/ono DR next week and hopefully all will say ok.I was just wondering about the hotel rooms.The ladies who just came back was there a lot of noise and oders from construction.Thanks for any response.
I am so glad you made it home safely! Also last month in Feb. I saw this and I wanted to post it to show you it doesn't matter about length just as long as you have one that is open you CAN get preggers! It may take a little longer but there still is a possiblity!

We got home OK and actually earlier than we expected. Donna- my cell is down and charging...check your email plz!
The flight back was actually better than the one going over there! They had my wheel-chair ready so I didn't have to walk through the airport or get bumped into anyone. (you can request this service when you book your flights). They were great! Even wheeled me out to the plane! The airline we used is called expresjet, but has limited flying area. Their customer serive far exceeded my expectations! Also Mrs. Janice Barrett service from and back to the airport was wonderful...she was on time and we didn't have to wait any she is a please to speak with and gets you to and from the hotel without any problems. We highly recommend her service! Her info is on the travel section of this website. If any of you choose to use her service (she is not a taxi) you need to call her and schedule her after you have your flight info roundtrip. At a minimun of 2 full days before you need her service. We rode in a Lincon Town car smooth ride, couldn't feel the bumps at all! She has a large trunk for all of the luggage. She's a sweetie! It didn't take us anytime to get from airport to hotel and visa versa today. She even makes a sign with our name on it to welcome you to the airport and she gets you as close to the door as possible after TR surgery! Not a far walk at all! Then DH can go get your wheelchair etc. it is a very EASY process and that's why we chose to go with her and I'm so glad we did.

Ladies I also got word from the couple from Oregon I told y'all we met. They left their info with Mrs. Janice to give to us this afternoon while we were on our way to the airport. I'm so glad they did b/c I was worried about her too! I just sent her an email so I hope to hear from her soon. They of course had a longer flight etc. She had her TR same day as me on Mon. 3/17/2008. They are very nice and friendly! I have invited her to this thread as well as the March 2008 thread. There are women who have the TR but aren't aware of the message boards. We need to welcome them with open arms when they pop in...I brag about you all, all the time This is a great place for support.
