Jennifer, I liked the way you added a graphic just above those still waiting. It makes it easier to find the beginning of the "waiting" list. I never could figure out how to add that kind of stuff. Anyway, you are doing a great job with the list! Thanks!

Pennylane yes at least as of right now Dr. M will only be performing 2 surgeries, I asked the nurse this question the other day when I was talking to her. Dr. B does 4 Dr. M does 2 Im sure it will eventually change. HTH Jennifer in NC

Thank you for sharing your experiance with us. Did they say why they take your picture? I am one of those people that really don't wear makeup unless I'm going out so that really doesn't bother me just wondering why is all.

I am having Dr M performing my TR and my consult is 10:30 on July 23rd so I wonder how many he does per day because if he does only do 2 per day then it looks like it is just me and Louise on the 24th. WOW, I will be nervous....
Does the u/s hurt or feel weird? I've never had one like that before. now, I will be worried that something would be wrong with my overies and I couldn't get the surgery. But, that is me the worry wart.

My Dh was with me the entire time with the exception of - u/s and surgery. He was waiting outside the door when I changed into the lovely gown and etc provided, then was with me the entire process of prepping etc......At surgery time he walked with us to the door and then he went back to the waiting area..... when i came out of surgery-- he was right there when i woke up.

hey Berta thanks for giving us your experience it helps to kind of know what to expect! I have another question for you, if your 2nd or 3rd in line can you wait with your DH until your surgery? I think that would help me to not be so nervous if I had my DH there with me. I dont want to be first or last I would love to be 2nd in line or 3rd just not 1st or last I would be scared to death to go first and then my nerves would be shot if I had to wait to go last. Actually though I just thought Im using Dr. M and hes only doing 2 a day so either way LOL Im in trouble cause Ill either be first or last or 2nd depending on how you look at it. Ok well anyways thanks for your story. Jennifer

Berta, you said they take your picture...I know there is a "no makeup" rule for the day of surgery, but please tell me it's ok to wear on the day of consult! I'm ashamed to admit this, but the no-makeup thing is really bothering me! I inherited the wonderful family trait of dark under-eye circles, and I wear concealer EVERY day! If the first time they see me, I have no makeup, they are going to think I'm sick!!! Seriously! Louise

The do u/s to check ovaries and all that...it's a vaginal one.
No..everyone arrives at 7, they call you in- in the order you are for surgery.(not sure what determines your spot)...... So everything is staggered. I originally was suppose to be 3rd however, but after the consult and all that...when I went down for surgery, it changed.....the 1st lady ate breakfast and didn't take the zantac so they had to move her to last spot..so everyone was moved up a spot...so I ended up being 2nd. With everything moving like clockwork...we were back to the hotel by if I remember correctly like 11 - 11:30 -or so...I'd have to check with DH but I think that time is correct....

Why do they do an ultrasound? So if my consult is at 7am does that mean I am first in line, or how do they determine who goes first? Sorry so many questions I just get excited talking/thinking about the TR. Jennifer in NC

Jennifer....I had MOnday consult/surgery as well. It's the best! Everyone meets in the lobby about 6:45am to take the shuttle, then as surgery is over etc...it takes you back to the hotel.
When you get to CH on MOnday, they will take your photo.and such.....so smile pretty!! Then they Do the consult, weigh/ u/s all that of that, then you head off to surgery. It goes sooo fast! Next day nurse was there by 8am and we were good to go.
