Shouldn't be a problem, My husband step out several times to make calls, and it was fine. He just let the nurses know where he was at all times. HTH

My DH also stepped outside to use his cell phone with no problems....just let the nurses know where he was. Before you know it you will be back at the Sheraton in the comfort of your own room. You will be in the best care. Good Luck with your TR and TTC

I don't think that would be a problem,w hen they say don't leave they mean as in drive away. My Sis'inlaw was able to keep my husband pretty well posted throughout my surgery both before and after:)

I have read on the site and my paperwork that cellphones need to be turned off in the building (which isn't a problem) and that your adult has to stay in the building while u r having surgery! So my question is: Would my Husband be allowed to step out of the building long enough to call my sister to let her know I'm ok and how the surgery went?
I don't really wanta ask her to wait the entire time because me and her r really close and all the family we actually have left so I dont want her to be worried until the time we get back to the motel because with surgery and recovery time it adds up to be several hrs! Shes a thinker to everything would probably be going through that head of hers..
