No, thankfully my cycles average 30-32 days, this only happens a couple times a year. My two worst PTLS symptoms have been fatigue and depression. Thank you for sharing your list of things to bring. <>< Crystal

Crystal, wow 42 days?? Has it always been like that since your TL? The only thing I have noticed since my TL is heavier AF and maybe longer but I was on birth control pills up until I got pregnant with my 4th so everything seems a little worse. I've read some horrible symptoms some of the ladies experience with PTLS.
I was born in Maryland at Ft. Meade but moved when I was 4 so I don't remember much. I've always wanted to visit Maine. I bet it's pretty there! I guess going to Chapel Hill will be my first time back on the east coast in 22 years!! Here is my list of some extra's to pack. I thought I would share with us girls that are fast approaching our TR!!! I know some of them are on the official list too. Zantac, GasX, sweats, warm socks(during surgery), hard candy, chapstick, Ibuprofin, small pillow, stool softner, ice packs, clear juices, jello, snacks for DH (some of the rooms have microwaves.)We're also bringing our portable DVD player with lots of movies & my DH's laptop. It will be here before you know it!! Trisha

Forgot to mention that I too am already part of the waiting room. Trisha, I haven't started an official list, but I've been gathering things here and there and I too plan to go out next week and grab a few things for the trip. Right now I am so excited but this surgery can't come soon enough. I am currently 42 days since my last AF!!!!! Talk about frustrating, I can't wait to have my body back! <>< Crystal

If you are flying in late on the 20th then I should see you! My surgery is on the 20th but maybe we will see each other in the am on the 21st. Our flight is not until 5:30. We are coming from Maine!

Thanks for the replies ladies! I am on the countdown board already so I'll just have to wait and see if anyone pops in.
OurBlessings, I fly in late on the 20th but maybe we'll run into each other at the hotel if we manage to get out of bed to go anywhere. I'm hoping to be able to go out to dinner that night with my DH to celebrate, (of course in my comfy sweats:-) I read one of the girls was able to. Where are you from? I'm coming in from Colorado. I have been keeping a list at my desk at work as I see ideas of important extra things to bring. I will probably go shopping next week which will make this all seem even more real!! If we don't run into each other, best of luck to you and may your tubes be long!! Trisha

Hey there. I will just miss you. My surgery is on the 20th. There's nobody scheduled on that day either, well at least nobody that post! You must be getting so excited. I know I am. Wish you the best!

Yes, I figured there were probably others but I wanted to make sure so I could look out for them. I guess once in awhile they probably don't have 4 scheduled. Miranda, you are lucky you got to chat with them before surgery. It's good to talk to all the women who are going through what we are but the ladies who have it the same day, well that's an even better bond! Hopefully one of the nurses chime in. Thanks-Trisha

Trisha When I went in for my TR, I was the only one who used the messgae boards. There were 3 other ladies there, and none of them posted anything. Sandra

Trisha they do 4 TR's everyday Monday-Friday. I was lucky and go to know two of the other lady's on here before I went for mine. But there was one lady that does not use the boards that was there as well. I wish you all the best. Miranda

I was hoping that one of the nurses could let me know if anyone is scheduled that day? If so, I guess their not online. I just want to know if I will have someone to maybe talk to before & after surgery. Trisha
