I also bought the CBFM on ebay for $80 but if that is to expensive at this time I also bought a 50 count OPK for $18 on ebay. You need to start temping from CD1 because some women's temps are a little crazy but if you start on day one you should be able to see some kind of pattern to let you know that you have ovulated. Also, make sure you are temping at the same time every morning. I set my alarm to make sure I get up at the same time everyday. Are you using fertility friend.com? It is a great web site that helps you figure out when you have ovulated and much much more, it also gives you a link so you can share your chart if you have questions. If you do all of this and are not seeing a pattern showing you have definitely ovulated than you can print your charts and show them to the doctor and she will be able to decide what she needs to do to see if you are indeed ovulating every month. You may have regular cycles but that does not necessarily mean you are ovulating every single month. HTH's

I know you think the kits are expensive (which they are) but I bought a clearblue and easy fertility monitor on Ebay for $76 and it was so worth it! All you do is pee and the machine does all the work for you. tells you exactly when your fertile days are and your peak days! With so much going on in life the easier the better! I wish you luck with the temping and hope you get all the support you can get.!

Well, I haven't checked my basal temp for quiet some time , and thought since I am scheduled for my TR June 9th I should know when I am ovulating, so I can know my fertile days and be safe/ or not. My temp is up and down like a yo-yo, no dip yet and then sharp spike afterwards. Today is day 18. I didn't start taking my temp until day 12? but wouldn't my temp be up and stay up if I had already ovulated? I am 43, I have regular periods, no more night sweats but I get cramps before the middle of my cycle and right through to the end. What is going on here? Ovulation kits are expensive and I'd rather go with basal temp for now. My gyn told me I could have fibroids, which I have never had but she never checked. Am I too old to ovulate? I desire another baby, but am not planning b/c of my husband and age, but will leave it in God's hands. Anyone out there old like me with similar temp?
