Oh Brenda Im sorry about that. Does your DH have a flex spending account at work maybe that is something you could look into. I will keep racking my brain to see if there is any other way for you to obtain the funds. Right now other than saving or loan I dont have anything else. I will most def keep you in my prayers that everything works out for you. Jennifer in NC

I can't possibly get a personal loan, because I haven't worked in over two years. I have excellent credit because I/we have always paid bills on time, but I don't have a job-we are living on my husband's income. I am trying to find a job, but with my husband's work schedule, nothing works. I feel like this is never going to happen for me.

Brenda what about just getting a personal loan from Capital one and then when you get the funds deposit them in your bank and then wire the money to CH. I know how frustrating it must seem but surely something out there will work for you. I would def look into just a personal loan they dont have to know the reason you need the money and if they do just say to pay off some bills or something. Good Luck Jennifer

OK, so I just checked out the Capital One info. It sounds like it might be doable, but Dr. B doesn't work with them, so what's the point? It says they pay the doctor directly, so I don't know how that could go wrong. It's not like they would have to wait on payments from me. I am getting so frustrated.

brenda have you thought about contacting like wells fargo, american general, capital one, chase places like that. I know with american general you can apply on your own, because I just went about 1 month ago and got a loan for my mom and its all in my name, so there would be no problem you applying by your self there. I really hope things work out for you, just thought Id let you know a bank loan is not the only place to turn.Good luck sweetie and I wish you well no matter where this journey leads you. I know that some people don't believe that PTLS exists... but if they were to read all the documentation... I would have to believe that they would at least consider it. There is so much information on the CHTR website... I personally don't suffer from PTLS, but I certainly believe that it exists.
This message board is for venting, sharing and mostly support from those of us that are or have gotten a TR for whatever the reason.
No reason to apologize for venting... we all have been there.
GL to you and I hope that your wishes arrive sooner than later.

I am wanting a TR only because I want relief of PTLS and I want to feel like a whole woman again. My relationship with DH has suffered a lot because of this and I don't know if we will ever be the same, but I want to do everything I can to try to get us back. I really don't think more children are in my future, but if it did happen I would feel it was meant to be and I would be happy. I just want my body back to (or close to) the way it used to be. When I try to discuss this with DH he doesn't seem too convinced that it will help. Sorry to go on and on, I just need to vent sometimes.

For us MedChoice was an great option due to the special price if you had the TR by Jan 31, 2008. Timing certainly was an issue due to my age of 42. We were able to pay back the full amount in a few months.
Also, MedChoice charged us a fee plus interest, that is pretty high. DH and I felt that it was worth the fee and knowing that we were going to pay off the loan early, we didn't worry about the interest...so in summary, the timing and the discount was ultimately the reason for us why we used MedChoice. That discount was almost the same as the fee... plus we used the trip as a mini vacation. I just could not imagine doing anything this life altering w/o my DH and having his support. But since it is both of us that desire the growth of our family... money is not going to get in our way... our thoughts are that you cannot put a price on this.

Yeah, I wish I could use Dr. M. but there's no way I can do it that soon. I can't get a bank loan on my own because I haven't worked in over two years and also I am married and you have to apply as a couple. My husband hasn't been real supportive about this so I don't want to ask him for any help or cooperation. I have excellent credit, so it sucks that I can't do it on my own. I just have to find another way. Hopefully when I am finally able to schedule, my husband will be on board and go with me, or I don't know who else I could get to go. Thanks for the info.

Hi Brenda I called Medchoice but could not get approved, so I called my local bank whom Ive been dealing with since I was in high school and they gave me the money that day. I have a 2 year loan and my payment is 165 a month. Not bad I dont think considering I can pay it off with my taxes next year. I only borrowed 3k and then used some of my tax return this year and put it with it and I used Dr. M instead of Dr. B that way I get the TR for $4900.00. HTH Jennifer in NC TR 8/4/08

So, from what I can see, you end up paying double the amount that you borrowed? If that's the case, no thanks. I would rather use a credit card and keep transferring the balance to other ones with no interest until it's paid off. Thanks for the responses.
