I vomit from Vicodin also. The staff at CH gave me Tylenol 3, but I opted to just alternate Tylenol and Ibuprofen. It worked well enough. They also managed to keep me from vomiting from the anesthesia. I have NO idea how, but they did it!

Brenda they are great about it too. I can not take anything with codeine in it. And I also get car sick so they gave me extra stuff for that. You will be in great hands. Miranda TR-3/24/08

We have other pain relieving medications to offer for people who do not tolerate Vicodin. We will review this with you during your preoperative consultation.

I keep reading about TR patients taking Vicodin after their surgery. I would like to know what alternatives there are, because I have tried taking Vicodin for dental work and it makes me very sick. I was given a script for it when I had my TL and I didn't even fill it, I just took ibuprofen instead. I didn't want to be vomiting with stitches in my abdomen! TR for me is not even in sight yet, I just want to get everything figured out ahead of time. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
