A friend of mine at my Church had a baby at the age of 49, I think she may of been older than that. She actually has grandchildren lder than her youngest.. It's not over until God says it's over!

Hope this thread is still alive... Hey Renee
I just turned 40, 2 weeks ago. Our eggs are older than others but women in their 40 can have healthy babies too. Any woman at any age can go through that. There was just too many defects for the fetus to survive. It was your bodies way of riding itself. I am sorry for your loss but please know it was nothing you did wrong.

Lori, I just turned 40 in January. I had an FSH level and many other tests done before a cycle of IVF that I went through at the end of 2006. All was normal then. I haven't had anything done recently but know I should do all that soon. I'm afraid to wait too much longer. I am hoping to schedule my second reversal in 3 months. I hope I'm doing the right thing. It's my last chance. I've done everything else I know to do. Sorry for rambling. How old are you? Have you had a reversal yet? Renee

Last year I became pregnant with twins after going through IVF. I miscarried and was told by the doctor that it was probably due to a "physiological anomaly". I was in too much shock to ask exactly what he meant by that but as time has passed, I'm thinking he meant that my eggs are old and "disfunctional". I'm worried that if that is the case and I go through a second reversal that it would be for nothing or that if I did become pregnant and carried to term the baby would have some type of birth defect. I'm just venting. Renee
