Just to say your in my thoughts & prayers today for your HSG..
I fully understand you wanting to know if your tubes are open prior to moving on with IVF
Great news for me to here that your tubes dont have to be open to undergo IVF..Just maybe this maybe my next step to take in the early spring 09 I have not had an HSG yet! Leaveing it a year before doing so...
Hope everyone had a good weekend. Just wanted to drop and say hello. Heading to the hospital at 2:30 today for my HSG. The RE is telling me that it doesn't matter if my tubes are open or not because if I end up doing IVF they don't need to be. But for my own piece of mind, I would like to know. If they are open, we will try IUI one more round before heading to IVF ground.
Just keep me in your thoughts today while I head over to have this done. Don't know why I am so nervous about it.
Talk to you ladies this afternoon hopefully!
Take care and have a great Monday! Betty TR 05/17/07

Ratchet22 - I wish you luck with your surgery this week!
Janice, darnit honey - I am so sorry AF arrived. The pains you described could have been caused by a variety of things, unfortunately I'm betting your doc will say that there is no way to know now that they've stopped.
Michele, it sounds like you've had an awful time- I hope you feel better soon!!
Mercy - AF should arrive anytime between now and 10 days after you stop provera. I've had to take it twice in the past 3 1/2 yrs - and both times she arrived just as I finished the 10 days of meds.
As for me - I'm celebrating AF's arrival. I know, I know, nearly 43 months of wishing she'd disappear for 9 months, and here I am celebrating her arrival! But our first DE IVF cycle, the Lupron over-suppressed me, and after the withdrawal bleed when I stopped the meds, I didnt get a visit from the ol' witch again for 108 days. I was worried that she'd pull the same stunt this time, but no - she showed up just a day late, yesterday. YAY!! Two more visits and I begin the meds again. UGH.
I hope everyone has a lovely Monday, even with AF visiting so many.
Ya know, i was thinking... this may sound strange but a few days ago i was having periodic sharp pains just above my pubic bone, and it did it about 4-5 times that day and it was making me double over until it passed. And just before that i had sharp pains from my "exit" for a few mins a couple of times. It would only last about 1-2 mins each time. Cant tell ya what it was. It happened a few days before that too and it was hard to sit. Never experienced it before. I believe it was wednesday when the uterus pain started? Very weird.
So sorry I have been MIA. Between tax season & I received a wonderful gift of walking pnenomia. I was so totally down & out & trying to still work. Well, last Wednesday my body did a total crash & burn. I did not get out of bed until yesterday. Two more days of work, Mon & Tues then we are closed for the rest of the week! Woo hoo.
Janice - as for your temps, they were heading down until the one where you did not get enough sleep. Just see what tomorrow brings & go from there. One day at a time.
Mercy - Sorry about the (-) b/w, are you currently on progesterone? I remember one of Kay's post, that if you take provera that will bring AF one.
Gwennie - I am so sorry I do not remember you, to have your one & only tube blocked is very sad. I too have a tube blocked but, my other is fine. However, I have never had a BFP. I believe that in the Lords time it will happen.
Sorry i havent been on in a few days. Been having hard time with diareah since Thurs night... YUCK! No sign of AF no sore bbs... not sure if i should take into account what my temps are like, since i didnt get a good sleep on thurs night... matter of fact, didnt sleep at all, but did shut my eyes and temp about the same time i usually do.... but weird thing- my temp was quite low 97.68 for first one, then felt like i slept for an hour and temp was 98.59, then finally slept for over 2 hours about 9am and woke up at 11 or so and temp was 99.37. so not sure how to take that.. just use the first one at normal time.....? even though i didnt have solid sleep more than an hour? Now today it rose to 98.36 and thats the highest its been all cycle. Didnt test yet. Test date FF gives me is tomorrow. Af is suppose to be here today. Not sure what to think. I wont hold my breathe tho. Have had no luck thus far since TR 4/05... cant count on it until it surprises me i guess.

Unfortunatly I am not having my procedure done there, I wish I was, this is what partly scares me, unfortunatly I have already paid for the surgery here in Texas, Just praying I too am in good hands. If for any reason I wake up and there is a problem , I will be headed to CH!
It sounds like you and your husband are having a great time getting psyched up for surgery and afterward!Glad to hear you got a positive LH surge. Once you see that, you can stop testing for that cycle even though you may still have strips left.

OK I have tested with these Ovulation Strips like all day long since I read your last post, All the way up until today they showed Neg, but today which is my CD14 day it showed Positive, I assume that means good, I ovulate...being 40 I was a bit worried that maybe I didn\'t, but happy now that I know I do Having my surgery done next Friday the 18th, praying all goes well there, as it approaches I am getting very excited, but yet nervous.
Had to laugh last night my DH went on the computer, and my Ovulation calender popped up, he sat there for an hour reading everything, it was nice as now he knows what to expect as well, he is very supportive. He was Really happy to see all the little hearts on the calender, especially when he found out that all the little hearts meant we should have intercourse for pregnancy. He fast forwarded to all the months to see just how many hearts there were, he was pleasantly pleased, and included that there was a heart there last night and we should practice. I\'m a lucky girl to have this man in my life... He has read up on everything, So Im not alone doing this, I have told him everything and he is as excited as us.....

Linda, I am sorry you are having a rough time, but so very glad for the reason behind it! Hang in there, and keep your eye on the prize!!
Mercy - OPKs are NOT like pg tests- a faint test line is a negative on opks. The lines HAVE to be the same shade, or the test line darker than the control line for it to be positive. You could have just started testing too late, or may have just missed the LH surge if you are only testing once a day (the surge lasts about 12 hours, so its advised to test morning and afternoon).
That being said - it could just be one of those things. Its quite normal for women to not ovulate once or twice a year - give it a few more days (around a week late) and then ask your doc for the provera if you are still testing negative for pg.
Janice -this is sounding good! I really hope to see you sharing in Linda's "misery" soon
Betty, let us know when you begin your ivf cycle - I really hope it'll be the magic you need!!

Hi Ladies, Been away awhile.....currently 7w3d and feeling quite yucky. Dr's office only suggested OTC Bonine which tastes so bad, that it makes the m/s worse! So between getting things done and working, I spend alot of time lying on my stomach. I finally got around to telling my husband two days ago to give the real reason why I have been so bitc.y lately and he said he knew anyhow. Which could hardly have been a big secret, since I blew up like a balloon at 3 weeks. My oldest son actually went out and bought me a beautiful Orchid to help me feel better........even though he has no idea why I'm sick.
I'm still not making any sort of official announcement until after my dr's appt on 4/17.
I used an OPK and I got a very very faint line on CD12 or 13... and then for three days no line at all. My CM was never EW during this time... actually... since I have been paying close attention to my body... I have not seen any EWCM. My TR was 1/30/08... AF in Feb and March were right on schedule. I don't recall ever missing AF... so this is the first time for me... as far as I can tell. Your information has certainly been most helpful. So you think just a few more days and if AF doesn't show I should request provera? I should get the results back today for my Thyroid and my free T4 levels... which this test was suggested by one of DR B's nurses. Anyway... I know I may be a little stressed out and that could be a contributing factor... AF obvisously doesn't come when there is stress. Thank you for all your help.
