Hello,

I think I posted a while back... but let me introduce myself and hopefully get a little advice.

I am 42... birthday is June.

My TR was 1/30/2008... 2 months ago.

Honestly have never paid this much attention to my body... so for the past 2 months... I've been temping, testing, looking, analyzing, bd'ng, and so on... I'm sure you all have been there/done that.

My story in a nutshell...all of these things have just happened in the last 2 months... b/c I have never done any of these thing in the past... I didn't need to, until now.

My CM has never been EW. I only tested positive on my OPK in February and we bd during the opportunity and a BFN. Again in March did the OPK test and only got a very very faint line in the results window. Tested 2 more times and got BFNs.

On a side note... I have been nauseau, headache, and uptight over the past week.

Went to my ob/gyn today... and instead of spending time w/ me to go over options... she said that I should just start w/ an RE due to my age and the high risk of getting PG. Called the RE nurse and she said... all he will do is tell us to do IVF!

Am I being sensitive? Shouldn't after all these years you would think she would spend a little time helping me. She said, hope to see you if you get PG. ugh!

My AF is due 4/4/08. Is it a little pre-mature to set up an appt. w/ an RE?

Anyway... just simply wanting to get some support and introduce myself to this thread.

Thank you and hope to get to know everyone.

Hi Ratchet 22,
your story sounds very much like mine. I am 40. Had tubal in 1990. i have a 19 yr old son, and a almost 21 yr old daugther. A high school sweetheart and i, started talking after our 20 yr class re, now married. He is 41 has 3 boys 19,15, 12. We want a child together and just started the payment plan w/dr.B. I have been researching this and dr.B for a year! I am nervous about my age, but my gyno says I am in great shape. It has been so long who knows what my tubes look like? And I think the procedure I had mangles them up pretty good. Anyway, lets keep in touch....do you have a surgery date? I hope to in about 3 months when I get the money.
good luck,

Morning ladies.

How is everyone?

Welcome Ratchet and Kelly. I hope everything works out well for you both.

Another gloomy day here. We went into DC Saturday. We wanted to check out the cherry blossoms. I've lived here for 8 years, and this is the first time we ventured in to see them. All the trees in bloom were very pretty. We also went to the WWII Memorial, which is very nice. Next on the list was the new butterfly exhibit. They were beautiful. Then we had to look at dead things to make DS happy since we made him go into the butterfly exhibit. 14 year olds are just too cool for that kind of thing.

I hope everyone is doing well.

Hi Labies,

I just had my TR on Monday. I feel really good. Dr. B told me that he saw signs of recent ovulation. My LT is 3.5 & RT is 5.5.

I'm 41 and my hubby is 45.

Just wanted to say Hi and I'm happy to see pregnancies and recent births for the over 40 moms!!!

Hello everyone! Wow what a board, and could not have ever imagined so many of us out there wanting this. [Eek!] When it first came out that we were thinking about this and started researching it, I quickly realized, we were not alone. [Smile] How can this be? I will tell you, I met a guy when I was 14, he was my 1st love [Kiss] , we parted ways, I went on and married, have 2 adult kids, divorced and then remarried, this last marriage was for 16 years, unfortunately it went south. Weeks later I found him (the guy when I was 14, my first love), Instantly we hit it off, and seemed to be a miracle. 1 month later he moved here to Texas with me and then Valentines day [Kiss] we were married. Its faith, he is my sole-mate. Loopte doo, fast forward here we are wanting to start a family of our own, and I find so many of you out there with the same dream, I am 40 and he is 44. I believe in Miracles as I reunited with him. So anything is possible right? [Confused] We go in for testing Tuesday and are scared to death! I had my tuba-ligation in 1992, is it to late for us? [Frown] Many thoughts and feeling involved here, all I know is I am like everyone else, I want a child [baby] , we want this and we want it bad. I pray and wish you all the miracle and miracles that we are wanting, I hope we can have the same. [Big Grin]

I don't have to tell you to ENJOY your daughter while she is there. My little brother just had his 23yr anniversary in the Navy. Although we talk all the time, I've actually only seen him about 5/6 times in all those years. His 20y/o son is also joining and tried his darndest to join on his father's anniversary which coincidentally happens to be his 20th bday, but he cannot sign until sometime in May. Then due to the fact my bro is stationed in HI and might be unable to make the boot camp grad at Great Lakes, he asked if I could stand in for him since I live in IL. Most Civilians just not comprehend the stress Military Families go through with their dedication.

Take care of your little girl

Ladies, I'm just checking in - my middle daughter arrived from Iraq yesterday for her R&R. She's still sleeping this morning as yesterday was a very long day for her with her flights/etc. She'll be here through the 15th so I may not have much time to check in, but will try.

Linda, and Anita - I am so thrilled for you both! I pray things continue to go smoothly for you.
Just think - you'll both have little ones to take to see the Easter Bunny next year!!

Emmie - I really hope you feel better soon. Its miserable having problems with a tooth. Congrats on getting NHS to pay for your surgery [Smile] We've had snow off and on since the Friday before Easter - it'll snow, then all melt, then snow again - repeated every few hours. Yesterday was finally mostly rain, making the drive to Frankfurt and K-town and back not too pleasant.

Well Ladies, I think I'm going to lay down for a bit until the girls start moving around - up at 3am yesterday to leave the house at 3:30 - didnt get home again until 10pm, by the time we got everyone settled and had a bit to eat it was after midnight before I got to bed. I'm thinking I'm too old for those kinds of days!

Betty and Chris - and everyone, have a great day!!

Linda, great numbers, and congrats on seeing the sac safely tucked away. I laugh everytime you say you have to pay .75 to get your results.

Kay, send our best wishes to Elaine. I hope you're doing well, and your flowers too.

Emmie, sorry AF is playing mean tricks on you. Good news about the surgery. I hope you're able to get that tooth taken care of real soon. I imagine you feel pretty bad. I HATE dental problems/work. Feel better.

Kay,
I wanted to tell you how much I admire the way you've handled yourself through all your ttc journeys. I can only imagine the thoughts that you're dealing with now that Elaine has her little one, after you two went through the IVF cycle together. I just know that God must have great things ahead for you. You've been so strong and been such an inspiration to all of us here. You're the best.
Lots of Love

I'm still keeping my mouth shut here at home....although I did tell my 20y/o daughter last week since she 'needed to know' why??? she had to get her little sister off the bus when I went for the u/s. She was shocked and really hasn't mentioned it since, but it was a good shock, I think [Confused] .

I'm beginning to enjoy the tiny boubts of ickiness.

Morning Ladies,

Gorgeous spring like weather in NC - this kind of weather puts me in a better spirit [Smile]

Wow - can't believe that it's already been 9 months since Elaine told us she was pregnant - time does go by so quickly! Kay - please send my congrats to her -- Hope they are both doing well.....

Emmie -- 4" of snow --wow -- tell Old Man winter to go bury his head - you want spring!! So sorry to hear about your root canal treatment -- I've never had one - but understand they can be quite painful!!

Kay, Anita, Janice, Carlo Jo, Michelle and Debs - and all the other ladies on our board -- hope you're all going good and that you had a great Easter weekend.

It's CD16 and just 2 bars on the monitor - was sure that I could have 3 today - oh well NOT going to fret over it (easier said than done)

It's my daughter's 11th birthday today and she is on spring break - so we're heading out for a couple rounds of putt-putt - then I'm taking her for a birthday lunch with one of her friends from school that spent the night with us and then off to see a movie -- We're thinking cupcakes and ice cream later!!!! Can't believe she is already 11 -- wonder where in the world the time has gone....

You ladies have a wonderful afternoon!!!!!

You are all in my prayers!!!
Take care!
Baby Dust to everyone!
Betty
