Susan4fk, These are great questions and you have come to the right place for your answers. I would like to refer you to two pages of our web site that will reassure you that you are not alone. First is our beautifully illustrated explanation of ligation resection. The second page carefully plots pregnancy statistics by type of tubal ligation and age. I hope this information will put your mind at ease. We have many patients who come to us in similar circumstances.

Hello! I am new to this board and all the info at hand! It tends to be alittle overwhelming sometimes! I found out that the type of tl that I had was a ligation and resection?? I read on here that that is one of the most common ones done. I am going to be 39 next week and was wondering if anyone had any info or stats or advice on my age and type I have done? I am so anxious!

liljell have you checked out the pregnancy reports on here. That should help you with information regarding age and pregnancy's. Of course with age, the percentages go down, but that doesn't mean we are out of the game.

hello ladies! i'm so pleased and honored to read everyone views about TR. I'm not scheduled just yet because i'm one question away from actually scheduling. I'm 41 but healthy, happily married for 12 yrs but don't have kids with the man i truly love. In 1990 I had a tubal and now i want a TR. I really need some feed back on women's success at age 40 and above and have they conceived? I must say each one of you are so special and hope to meet you soon.

Hello everyone. I posted on here once before but haven't been back in awhile. I am quickly knocking on 40's door and considering having a TR. I have 3 DD's but my fiance doesn't have any kids. We need to make up our minds and the sooner the better. I noticed an old post on here from a lady in Bermuda. I also live in Bermuda and have been trying to connect with someone from here who has had a TR at chapel hill or is going to have one.

Hello, I just had my TR on 6/16/08. Everyone was so kind and encouraging at CH. I am 34 and so is DH. I am a teacher and I need to wait until the end of September until I can start trying to conceive so I will be due at the end of the school year. I am excited to see if God blesses us with another child.
I am also new and have found that this is a wonderful source of support and information. All of the ladies are so sweet and helpful. Be sure to go over to the Waiting Room and introduce yourself.

Hello all! My TR is sched. for 5-19-08. I'm so excited but at the same time very nervous! I am 37yrs old and so is my DH. We are praying for a positive outcome. I have found Dr Berger's website to be the best I have ever seen. I have wanted a TR reversal every since I had my tubal 11 years ago. I cant believe that it is finally going to happen! Just wanted to introduce myself and I am looking forward to making some new friendships with you ladies.
