Reneektp--As with any exercise start out slowly and let your body be your guide. You may have to modify your abdominal exercises for up to six weeks. Of course a lot depends on the level of exercise you did prior to your TR. Just use common sense and and don't exercise beyond your comfort level and you should be fine. Sally,RN

You may jog, or do any kind of exercise that does NOT involve lifting heavy objects or abdominal "crunches" as soon as you feel able. I always like to jokingly tell the husbands that this includes no vacuuming for at least six months!!

I was wondering the same thing. I wanted to start exercising tomorrow and didn't know if it was too early. I am suppose to cut the knots off of the stitches tomorrow so I didn't know if it was too soon or not??? Thanks!!!

I would and did start, but go slow and let your body tell you what you are capable of.... Here I am 1 month and 1 week later and I can't even tell I had surgery.

Just wondering if any of you can help out. I am 2 weeks post TR tomorrow. I have been walking and feel really good. I love to jog, would you start or should I wait a little longer?
