Hello ladies, I went and had my 3 hour test and as I thought I do have gd. I have to take my levels 4 times a day and really watch what I eat. I was able to control it with diet the last time but I am heavier this time and it is already harder. I am eating correctly now but my levels have been over at least once a day by at least 20 pts and sometimes more. I am so afraid to have to go on insulin. I will for the baby's health but shots scare the **** out of me. The blood sticks are bad enough. I hope that everyone is doing ok and feeling fine. Take care and I will update soon. Things here are good, except we're suppose to have rain or snow this weekend... go figure it got up into the 60s but you know how the weather is...
I am getting ready for Saturday, we are celebrating Caden's 8th birthday! Holey Moley!! Time flys! Then next month Braden will be 6... I have also been busy doing Scentsy stuff, I just signed two girls under me so that was pretty exciting!! Gotta love it! So I've been helping them with their "Business Launch" Parties! Its been alot of fun!
We are still talking about different names, during slow times at work DH gets online and searches for some and calls me with a handful, I def like Hannah,because of the 2 previous miscarriages and finally getting our sticky bean we've kinda started looking more at the meanings so we are looking for a "fighter" "survivor" or "life" name. DMIL middle name is Ann and our Niece has carried that middle name with an 'E' and DFIL's middle name is Lynn, so we put the two together and came up with Annelynn (Ann el ynn). It doesn't have a significant meaning besides its my IL middle names and its different.

Michelle- Great news on the working from home, that is the greatest when a boss is willing to work with a working mom, is this the rest of your pregnancy only or a perm situation?
Karen - Glucose test eww... Not great tastig but not to bad either, espec when you fast and you are starving anything fills the hunger.. As for names... Hannah is my favorite.. Hannah Gweyn!! Just a thought... Also no owrries on how bog you are, just rememebr everyone is different and shaped diff, i was think the same thing, people further than me and here i was the same size, well come to find out I have gained less in the end...

So we are discussing changing our baby girl's name, we had Ixabella but found out that the ex has just named his daughter Ella, and they are just too close. Any ideas, we've stumbled on a few we like but nothing that has popped out and got our attention. Kinda silly really I know, but with our boys getting 2 new babies this year and both of them ironically are girls we already had too much in common... I get to do the glucose test next month, def not looking forward to that.

Well, good news... I just met with my boss and I can start working at home April 14.. with no backlash... it will be normal hours and normal workload. I am so grateful! We started looking for child care and it really scared me... not only the expense, but the thought of leaving my babies with someone. I dread this...
Hope everyone is feeling ok... I have been trying to take it easy as I have been having more b.h contractions.

Tanya, It's hard to grasp that were big pregnant mommas when just about 9 or 10 months ago, most of us were experiencing losses. I can't believe i start the 3rd trimester in days...
Shirley, I'm sure the name thing will come to you eventually. It's still a possibility of changing it for us too.
I'll be 26 weeks on Thursday, I go for my OB appointment tomorrow, hoping all goes well. I'll have a second glucose test done tomorrow too.

Hello ladies! Just wanted to stop in quickly and say hello. I have been feeling pretty good Kelli thanks for asking. I have to go to the lab tomorrow for a 3 hour glucose and I really should be in bed but I am not tired yet. I am hungry though. I cant have anything but water until that nasty drink again in the morning and then it will be about 11 or so before I can eat. I never eat this late but I guess I feel hungry because I cant. Oh well!! I love all of the names you ladies have picked out. Dh and I are still in limbo. He really doesn't even like John but this is my dads 7th grandson and I think it is past time that he be honored and I am not budging this time. Well I will update again soon hopefully not with gest diabetes but since I had it with Isaiah I am betting I have it again. Shirley edd 6/15/08

Athena - Congrat's on looking for a retirement home. If your dh is a Marine then he deserves retirement early - like all the guys in uniform. We don't give our military people enough benefits so early retirement is the least we can do! ENJOY IT!

Michelle - I'm thinking about you. I know how tired or fatigued I get from time to time and you've got double the symptoms. I know your hanging in there but your doing GREAT!!
Nothing new here. I've been really tired all weekend - I think the whole daylight savings killed me too - and I'm going to be 30 weeks this Friday! I can not believe it! 9 more weeks until Carly arrives. It's going too fast. I'm starting to get really uncomfortable at night but otherwise I feel really good. Hard for me to believe that this pg is nearing it's end...sort of sad..but I'm anxious to hold this little one. It's an ending - which is sad but the beginning of something even better!
Is anyone here planning on formula? I got a sample of Similac Isomil and I'm not going to be using it. Anyone typically use Isomil? I'm going to breastfeed at first but I'll use formula eventually. Both my kids were on lacto-free formula so I have no need for it...

Michelle, poor thing. Like I've told you before much respect for you carrying 2. I'm having so many aches and pains with only 1!! You go girl! lol!
Had my 24 week appt today. It went very good!! They told me because of my history of fast labor and early dialating that more than likely I will be induced on July 19th, that is my 38 week mark. Oh that was good news for me! She also told me that Boston is measuring a few weeks bigger but not to worry that it could just be that he has recently gone through a growth spurt. I had to laugh, when she was measuring my belly she said oh you are one of those ladies that have the naturally hard belly and good muscle tone. LMAO!! She said, no really, and I said lady listen do you mean LACK OF?? Guys I have no muscle tone whatsoever in my stomach so I don't know what she was trying to do. When I got home I told my DH, "look at these rock hard abs!!" LOL!!! It was a good appt today!! Good news with some humor!

Hi everyone.. looks like everyone has been busy...
I am feeling great and as always thank you for asking...
Garrett is staying where he is supposed to for now and we just hitting 31 weeks... This weekend we went looking at houses and found a bit fat nothing. What a waste of six hours in the car with my husband.. AHH Needles to say that is the most we argued and been mad at each other in a long time... LOL GOOD THING I, we are not in any hurry to buy a house... We are starting to look at retirement houses and where we want to settle.> Yes retirement.. My husband is in the MC and is hitting 20 yrs in 3 years and need to figure where to go from here.>>W e are soo use to moving all the time and now have to be happy with settling... LOL (NOT COMPLAINING)
Well I just finished another Semester last night e more to go before i take the Summer off to spend with the baby.. YEah...
Also I had my Dr Appt on Friday and all is well, Garrett is still measuring a bit big but no big deal, and he is not head down and getting lower she said... I have now gained a total of are you ready.... drum drum drum 13 #'s... BOO I know I have to gain something but I have been dreading it... Otherwise still ok to go on the Disney trip and my health is doing werll.. No more real big contraction episodes!! Yeah...

How is everyone else? Anyone have a busy weekend? Kelli, how are you feeling? I am SOOOOOO ready for spring, and no more rain... our backyard is so muddy!
We had in-laws over for DH's birthday Saturday.. I hope they start on the basement soon, we are building a bathroom adn bedroom down there, so my youngest will get teh bedroom and the babies can be upstairs with us... but no work has begun.
Then yesterday, we took the dogs to the dog park. It is getting really hard for me to walk any sort of distance. I am also getting alot of numb legs and feet and hands... and am having a really hard time getting any comfortable sleep.
Ah, the joys of pregnancy!!! But I would not trade it for the world.
