I'm sorry that you had a bad experience with the tech. It was supposed to be an exciting time for you!
As long as they confirmed that the pregancy was in your uterus you do not have to have another ultrasound right away. If however, you would feel better having another one to see the heartbeat you can ask to see if they could schedule it a little earlier.

I was just wondering. I had an ultrasound at 5 weeks 3 days. The tech was awful. I saw a sac and what I thought was a baby. She was so short. It was by far a positive experience.
The nurse called and said the dr. got the report and baby is in the uterus so there was no need for any other early monitoring. With pg with Elijah I had several ultarsounds and saw the heartbeat and all. I go to first ob appt on 4/8/08.
Just wondering if Dr. B suggests having an ultrasound until heartbeat is seen.

This is the same dr. that delivered all my kids and I love him but I think this time they jumped to quick to stop the early monitoring.
