Dawn- Have you had an AF since surgery?
Bostonlass- I should be right behind you. My TR was 2 days later and AF should be here 5-7 give or take a day.
And I thought the cramps got better too. Or maybe it takes a couple of cycles to fix.
My sticthes come out tomorrow so I am a little excited about that.

oj's mom sorry you got AF but now you can start fresh. So your cramps are worse? UGG. I thought they'd get better after TR!!!

OMG I'm like due in about 4 days for AF and I feel like bawling my eyes out for no good reason! I can't remember having *such* an emotional pms time before. Did that happen to anyone else for the first cycle?

On a side note I can't WAIT to take a bath!!! I'm sooo not a shower person!

I wish I could see all of the posts while I'm posting so I could answer everyone......I'll have to work on that one! Have a good one everyone!

ojzmom~ I'm sorry AF found you. I guess you will be the fist of us to start with the monitor. I will be asking you 100 questions about it, I'm sure.. LOL

I think I'm coming down with a cold. I feel terrible. I was really dizzy/hot yesterday and now today I feel stuffy nose/upset belly this morning.
I'm just working around the house today, so I think I might catch a nap now that the kids left for school. [Wink] LOL

srmanolo1019 thanks for the basal info! I notice alot of women talking about this and I wondered about it. I just got the confirmation that my monitor is on its way so its actually perfect it will be here in time for me to TTC! I just got myself settled and ironed my clothes for the rest of my visit here. I hate being away from my kids and family but working for the government when they tell you to go you just go!

ojzmom-at least AF is here, so you havehad a great month to heal and can really get working now. The basal thermometer- you temp every morning when you wake up. Write it down and the actual variance in temp could be slight. I have been temping for 3 months and on the day I ovulate my temp goes to around 99.10 or 98.90. I know that doesn't seem high but my normal temp is between 97.60 and 98.40. I also have severe cramping when I ovulate. One of the reasons I started temps is just to know my dates in case I stopped cramping during O after TR. The fertility monitor seemed to me very complicated, but maybe one of the other girls can elaborate on that. I also bought the Clear Blue Easy O sticks. You pee on them and when you start releasing a certain chemical you will ovulate in two days. For me these seemed like the easiest two options. I didn't want to get to complicated at first.
Dawn- It is lovely here today again. I have lived all over the US and when my DH-18 started kindergarten we stayed here and loved it. I don't think it matters how long your tubes are there is always the worry of M/C or EP just because at this message board the women are very honest and you learn more things than you probably ever knew.
Bostonlass-My temp taking is about the same. And when you are ready to get out of bed that 3 minutes is an eternity. One of the things I do each week is check the PG reports and check the tubal lengths and type of TL. There were two this time with shorter tubes and bipolar coagulation. So that gives me some hope. Also for me if I don't ever get PG at least I was given the chance to become PG and that is what I focus on.
You ladies all have a great day.

Well guys I just arrived in Georgia and AF decided to show this morning. It is actually worse than any other I have had but I think that probably has to do with my stress level with work and the kids etc and the fact that I am traveling when I want to be resting. I am in good spirits and will try soon after this. The weather here is wonderful and that is making me feel alot better as we speak. Can anyone explain the difference between using a thermometer and the clear blue monitor?

Good Morning ladies.
I hope everyone is having a great day..
I was pretty fortunate with my tube lengths after TR, but believe me, I'm just as worried about the same things as everyone else.. LOL I'm terrified of an EP. My first pregnancy ever was an EP. It was a nightmare! I'm also concerned about my tubes closing, EP, MC and so on.

bostonlass, I'm glad they figured out what was wrong and that you are feeling better.. I'm not temping at this time, so I can't answer you on that one.. LOL I also said I wasn't going to obsess about TTC, yet I bought OPK's, Monitor, and Pregnancy tests.. [Big Grin] DH and I were going to wait a few months, but decided against that at the last minute and I'm currently in the TWW.. LOL

ojzmom~ I hope you are feeling good today and that AF doesn't show herself! Wishing you the best! I laughed at your "feeling like a kid waiting for Santa" LOL I know what you mean..

Sandra~ I hope you are feeling well today and that you are getting the nice weather in NC today. PA is cool but beautiful today.. But if I were to ever move it would be somewhere in NC. I love that state.. We went the whole way across the state last spring. Beautiful..

Have a great day ladies.. I have to get some housework done and go to do my vinyl work today.. (That's another one of my jobs... LOL)

count me in for short tubal worries too!

Went to doc and she said it must be a virus I caught in NC or on the plane and of course this morning I feel much better so I guess that was my luck. LOL. Got diflucan for the yeast infection so hopefully that will go away soon!

I said I wouldn't obsess yet but wouldn't ya know I took my temp this morning. I have a digital basal thermometer and I swear it takes like 3 minutes before it beeps that it's ready. Does everyone else's take so long?

ojzmom I hope AF doesn't come for you but if it does I hope it's an easy one. My cramps are so bad usually so I'm curious to see what it's going to be like after the TR.

ojzmom- I know the feeling on short tubes. I was kind of sad when they said 2.5 and 3. I was hoping for 5. I hope your trip goes well and relax. Too much worrying does not help.

srmanolo1019 I dont think I will wait to TTC at all. I am actually leaving on a business trip to Georgia in the morning and hope to TTC tonight. Not that I am ovulating but just to calm my nerves. I hate to fly. I am afraid to wait since my tube length is not great and blockage can occur at any time. I want this to happen so bad that it is consuming me. It is so late and still I have the nausea. cramps are light now. AF may be here in the morning.

ojzmom- I hope all turns at well. But don't take too much advil if you are PG. And keep us posted. Also after this are you going to wait a month or two to TTC or start now??!!
bostonlas-That is alot like me. I started taking my temps everyday and written my cycles for the last three months. I did get ovulation sticks, but looking at my calendar I should know when I O. My cycles are very predictable. 28-29 days. But as far as clomid or the big fertility monitor, DH and I are going to take it easy the first three or four months. I am 37 and we at least have a year or two b4 I start getting to old. Also my DR said as long as I was having regular cycles I shouldn't worry too much about not ovulating.
Dawn-Iknow about working with DH's in construction. My DH has a fence company, but for the first 4 years getting the company started, I went to work with him. Trust me it is hard work. Now I just to the office work and work part-time as well. My part-time job is so my DH and his brothers can't call me constantly to run their errands. It is my time. LOL

Wow I cant imagine being separated from my husband. But I am sure that since you are the time you share is most precious! Be sure the let your PCP know all your problems so that you get all the medication you need and before you know it you will be on your way to TTC!

Dawn Iam sure you are right that it is to early to test. This is a killer! I feel like when I was a kid waiting for the morning Santa came!

We've been married for a year and some months now but he has been in Egypt for the majority of it. We hadn't seen each other since the end of this past July and he finally got to come here a week before the surgery (when I had aunt flo of course) so it's been very trying in that dept to say the least.

I wasn't going to actively try but not not try if that makes sense. I am 42 and would like to be pregnant before I hit 43 in September but I'd also like a good few months just with us alone ( and my two other children who are 11 and 12) but whatever happens it is in God's hands. I'm actually going to ask for a preg test today just in the oddball miracle case that that is what is causing this, though I'm sure it's just a virus that maybe I caught on jetblue on the way back to Boston from NC.

So long story short, yes we will try but I'm not going to get all charty and compulsive about it until a few more months goes by. Then watch out because I'll be peein' on those sticks and analyzing every gas poppin' like nobody's business!!! [Razz]

ojzmom~ I'm sure it is probably still too early to test, but you just never know when those things might pick "something" up. LOL [Big Grin]
Hopefully AF stays away though.

bostonlass~ Nice to hear from you. I'm glad things are feeling a bit better for you and that you are going to PCP. Maybe they have a quick fix for you.
Sick and a yeast infection.. UGH. I really feel for you. Hopefully your PCP can get you all fixed up and you can get on with the newlywed stuff.. LOL
I was VERY fortunate in that I didn't have 1 single issue after my TR. It was a breeze for me and I wish everyone could have an easy recovery as I did. Let us know how you make out at the Dr. Are you going to TTC soon or are you waiting a bit? Just curious... LOL Even though I'm sure when you are not feeling well that is the last thing on your mind right now..
Here's lots of babydust to everyone!
