Shannon, I wouldn't worry about the size too much yet. I've been told that the measurements can be off because of little factors like which way the baby is laying and other things. I had IVF, and knew exactly when everything happened, but my first two U/S measured a few days behind, but my last one measured three days ahead.

Bonnie, congrats. it's nice to have one less thing to worry about.

Christbride, sorry for your loss. Get well soon.

hi everyone! congrats motherof2 on your little boy! it's always so exciting to find out i think. it makes it feel more real to me. i'm getting an u/s in the 2nd week of june, not sure which day yet, i find out tomorrow. i took the intelligender home gender kit and it said boy, i got another one for free so i'm going to do it tomorrow and see what that one says. if it says boy then i'm going to go to my u/s expecting a boy but if it's actually a girl, i will be so excited! i want a little girl more than anything! i already have 3 boys of my own and a stepson. so a girl is very much needed in my house, but if it actually is a boy that's ok too, i guess we just have to take what we can get. i'm just thankful that the surgery worked and things are going well, with the exception of horrible nausea and vomiting, so far.

Hi girls.
I got the results from my first trimester screening today and it was good! They said that our chances for downs and trisomy 18 went from 1:268 and 1:505 to 1:2303 and 1:10,000 respectively. So, for myself at 35 she says are chances are better than the average 20 year old for a healthy baby. [Smile] Since I had elevated risk with my first pregnancy 15 years ago, this was a very good surprise! I can't stop smiling.
Hugs to all!

Ladies- I've just read some unfortunate news on the Jan 08 thread. Nellie (Christbride) had an ectopic and lost her right tube- even with careful monitoring, these things just happen. Nellie- I'm so sorry you have had to go through this- I hope you can heal quickly, and when you are ready, you get your sticky bean- it only takes one tube. (((((Hugs))))) -Traci

Shan...I would say as long as the heart beat is good don't worry, what was the heart rate? Did your Doc make any comments about the babies size?
I know I am measured a couple of days ahead this time, I think when they are this small is really varies and it's hard to say if a couple a days difference in measuring really matters in the long run.
I am hoping all is well with your little bean and that you will get tot he point of beign able to breathe easy soon.

Hello ladies.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but I have been sick for over a week. Still not 100%, but getting there. I have read back through, and I am sorry for the difficulties some are having, and others milestones put a smile on my face.

Jen, I have been buying some things here and there, but the big shopping sprees will happen once we have the next U/S in June and find out if it's a boy or girl. I can't wait!

Just got back from the dr and all is well. The did the blood draw for the quad screen and said that my due date is October 26, three days earlier than what they thought before, and that I would be havin gthe repeat c-section 7-10 days before that so I will be having this baby somewhere between the 15th and the 17th. We haven't set an exact date yet. I am measuring right on for 15 weeks.

As for what I might be having, I have no idea. I would love a girl to help me balance out the testosterone in this house, but my boys are wonderful so I would mind saying that I am the mother of 4 boys either. Basically, I really don't care. I do keep calling it a girl though just to irritate DH because he wants another boy. I am hoping that when we do find out it will be easier to start thinking of names. We have gone over so many, but none just FEEL right. So I can honestly say that we have no idea on a name either.

Anyone started shopping yet?

Ok, so not fair Jen! lol My doc is a stickler for the big US not occurring before 20 weeks, so I've got ages to wait! Now this US will be on my birthday, so I'm hoping for great results! I had a doc appointment today and am measuring at 22 weeks- doc says not to worry about it (I wasn't) as my bellybutton is lower than most...what??!! lol this is my 5th child and the first time I've heard that, made me giggle. Hope everyone had a good weekend! -Traci
