Jo, There are a couple of other things I have noticed since taking the Vitex: 1) I feel a lot better than before and 2) I think I feel the wicked ol' witch knocking on my door and it is a week early (next period 5/15). Now I have to decide which I want more: 1) to feel better or 2) to TTC. UGH!!!!
How is everyone doing in their cycles? What is everyone doing to TTC? I’d love to hear from all of you ladies so that we can share ideas, experiences etc.
I have started taking Omega 3-6-9 softgels and Evening Primrose Oil (EPO) 1000mg. Softgels twice daily until I confirm O. Due to a prior m/c before my TL and TR, I am taking low dose baby aspirin (B/A) 81mg once nightly after O until menstruation (CD1). I also take my prenatal vitamin (PreCare Premier RX) daily.
Before I got so sick last week, I had planned on going into the lab, as my orders are already in the system from my ob/gyn, for my cycle day 3 b/w. Then go back for my P4 (progesterone) level on CD21 (or 7 days after O). Needless to say, I will get this done next cycle if no bfp this cycle. I also need to have my thyroid panel drawn again since after surgery it has been known to fluctuate.
This is for any of you that have thyroid issues such as hypothyroidism (under active thyroid) or hyperthyroidism (over active thyroid): For those of you who don’t already know this, your thyroid can affect your fertility and menstrual cycles among many, many other things. Most physicians including endocrinologists I’ve ever been a patient of, like to see my TSH level between 1.0-2.0. even though a ‘within normal limit’ level has a wider range.
Toni- I’m so excited for you! It could have been positive last night but without seeing it I couldn’t tell you for sure. You may want to look on FF at the HPT and OPK picture gallery to compare. If you want to spend the money for them, they do have OPK’s that have digital smiley faces and + or – signs etc. Sounds like you’ve got your bases covered though! You may want to use the ic’s (internet cheapies) until you think you have a positive then use the digital to confirm….Ex: If you pee in a cup, you can use the same urine to test both with, just an idea. It took me two cycles to be confident in reading my OPK’s. I don’t change brands now and that helps with the confusion as well. Each batch of OPK’s even with the same brand can differ in the amount of dye that they contain. Be careful not to over or under saturate the OPK stick. It won’t always be this difficult, hang in there.
Kathy- Good to hear you’re going to test just to be on the safe side! I had a full normal cycle when I was PG with my first child. After TR, I test just to be on the safe side. I’m not willing to risk my tubes or an undetected early m/c, e/p, or PG.
Heather- Glad to hear you are recuperating well. Wishing you and everyone bucket loads of baby dust!
Jean- I miss you, how are you? Did you take 3-6-9 or EPO this cycle? If so, I’d like to hear what it changed if anything. Wanted to let you know that my DH actually found both the 369 and EPO at our Walgreens which shocked me b/c I’ve looked there before and all they had was the omega 3.
Shari- How is the Vitex working? Have you noticed any changes other than moving your O date up?
I did not test today because after work I met up with the girls for dinner and I drove with the DH's brother's GF. Kind of couldn't ask her to stop so I could pick up a pregnancy test. I did pick one up today and I only did because my temp is back up. I do have a really sore throat today so maybe my body is all out of wack because I'm sick. I'll take the test tomorrow and let you guys now.
WHOOOOHOOOO!!! I got my positive OPK and my peak on my CBFM. You know what I will be doing today. I just hope it is not to late. I thought I felt a pain about 1:00am on my right side. As soon as I go drop my son off at school I will get busy. Can you beleive it the one night I fall asleep before we BDed I ovulate that figures. I am positive now that my OPK was - last night at 10:00pm but my temp is rising already. Oh, I did not drink or go to the bathroom for 4 hours like recommended. This mornings is not to much darker though but enough to make it +. Could last nights have been positive? Well I will try to catch It.
Wish me luck!!! Have a good day!!!!
Kathy, what were the results of this mornings test? Have a great day.
Toni P.S. Sorry if I am not making sense I am so excited. I am also glad to know I still ovulate just fine.

Toni- I'd record ewcm. and I'd suspect your geting ready to O..and getting ready to have a positive on your OPK..you haven't got a positive this cycle right? Get to BDin lol. GL, Jo
No matter how you observe your cervical fluid (with your hands, toilet tissue, or in your underwear, or internally if necessary) the way to record it will be the same. Always record your most fertile type of cervical fluid, even if you noticed more than one type of cervical fluid in a given day or even if it is scant. This is so you will not miss a potentially fertile day and so that you have a consistent way of keeping track of your cervical fluid from cycle to cycle.
Below are the types of cervical fluid to record in Fertility Friend. Not everyone experiences every type of cervical fluid. Just record the types you do get. You may also have some cervical fluid that does not seem to "fit" perfectly into any category. In this case, record it in the most fertile category that best seems to fit. For example, if you notice in a day that you have cervical fluid that seems to fit somewhere in between creamy and eggwhite, record it as eggwhite. Likewise, if you get both creamy and eggwhite fluid in the same day, record eggwhite on your chart.
Dry: Record your cervical fluid as "dry" if you have no cervical fluid present at all; if you notice no cervical fluid in your underwear; and if the outside of your vagina feels dry. You can expect to see dry days both before ovulation after your period and after ovulation. Record "dry" if you are not able to gather or see any cervical fluid, even if your vagina feels slightly moist inside.
Sticky: Record your cervical fluid as "sticky" if it is glue-like, gummy, stiff or crumbly and if it breaks easily and quickly and if it is not easily stretched. It will probably be yellowish or white, but could also be cloudy/clear. You may or may not see some sticky cervical fluid before and after ovulation.
Creamy: Record your cervical fluid as "creamy" if it is like hand lotion, white or yellow or cloudy/clear, like milk or cream, mayonnaise or like a flour/water solution. It may stretch slightly but not very much and break easily.
Watery: Enter "watery" if your cervical fluid is clear and most resembles water. It may be stretchy also. This cervical fluid is considered fertile and this may be your most fertile cervical fluid or you may get it before you get eggwhite cervical fluid or you may not get this type of fluid at all.
Eggwhite: This is your most fertile cervical fluid. Record "eggwhite" if your cervical fluid looks at all like real eggwhite, is stretchy and clear, or clear tinged with white, or even clear tinged with pink. It also resembles semen (and has a lot of the same physical properties to allow the sperm to travel and be nourished). You should be able to stretch it between your thumb and index finger.
Spotting: Record "spotting" when you have any pink or dark red/brown spots that leave a small mark on your underwear or pantyliner or that you only see when you wipe. If it does not require a pad or tampon, record it as spotting rather than menses. You may see spotting before or after your period, around the time of ovulation or around the time of implantation if you conceive. Do not start a new chart until you have red flow.
Menses: When you record "menses" you can choose light, normal and heavy. Always start a new chart on your first day of menses. That is the first day that you have red blood flow that requires a pad or tampon. This is cycle day one. Fertility Friend will automatically start a new chart for you when you enter menses.

Question, I did my OPK tonight and again it is almost as dark but not quite. Does this mean I am close or could it mean I already have? Can they be like this after ovulation? Also, sorry if TMI, My CM is mostly clear with a tad of what resembles a milky color in some of it. Like I said it is mostly clear though. Is this considered watery CM or have I been getting it wrong all this time?
I went to the store and got a BBT and an OPK consisting of 7 tests that should get me through til mine show up. I will test again tonight before bed. So, we will see.

I'm going to test tomorrow morning! I'm sure it's a cyst. If it was a pregnancy or ectopic I'm sure my temperature would have stayed up not gone down right?
