There are many herbs that can help with fertility depending on what issues you may have.
Chaste berry or vitex (this is a very popular one)
Rhodiola
Dong Quai (great female tonic)it can raise blood pressure so don't take it if you have bp issues.
Astragalus is just a very good overall tonic and blood building herb.
Black or blue cohosh-some women use these but again it depends on your needs. These may help some and not help others.
Flax seed meal is excellent to help with getting enough EFA's. I add it to smoothies.
You may want to see a master herbalist or another practitioner. I have been seeing an acupuncturist who has made individualized formulas just for my needs.
Don't take any herbs before TR. Use them afterwards.

When going to an RE for help in conceiving, I was instructed not to take ANY herbal supplements. For example, evening primrose oil can help to increase EWCM, but can also interfere with implantation.
Just make sure that you don't start taking any herbal supplements or vitamins prior to your TL surgery. It would be best to wait until after surgery before starting any of those supplements.

There are lots of natural things you can do. I see a wellness doctor that works with my family doctor. It is great and I got the news that with out any drugs my body is ready to start TTC after my next AF. I wish you all the best. Miranda TR-3-24-08
A diet consisting of 5 servings of fresh veggies, fruits, whole grains, nuts, seeds, legumes and lots of filtered water is a good way to get or keep your system running smoothly. I've been using Chia seed in my diet for about 8 months now and my hormones are pretty balanced. (you and your DH)Should avoid caffeine and Soy products.Sometimes it is hard to get 5 servings of veggies and fruits in each day, so I supplement with a powder mixture called "Macro Greens" I get from the health food store.Plus I take a multi vitamin with folic acid each day Regarding herbal remedies: Identify what your needs are first (ie; irregular cycle, lack of EWCM, low progesterone)before taking herbal remedies. Some of the other TR sisters may have better advice regarding herbal supplements ;_) Email me if you want: kelkle66 at earthlink dot net ~Kelly
The health food store does sell something to help increase fertility- It was about 50.00 a month-- I say wait until your TR and try a few months-- may not even need anything... But you can start taking prenatal vit. and folic acid now to help your body be it's best and ready for when you are PG!!!
Good Luck and Long Healthy Tubes your way girl!!!!
Your going to LOVE your experience at Chapel Hill and meeting everyone!!!
