Hello All, Been a bit, just wanted to let you guys know that I had my 20 week ultrasound and ITS A GIRL!!..yep. I am so excited, I had my last ultrasound done by a special obgyn who because of my age and all I was sent to by my regular obgyn and I did all the test were they measure neck and my blood to se chances of downs syndrome and chromosomal defects and all were negative and all baby\'s organs and extremities are 100% good...I am so blessed. God is so good. Her name is Alexia Grace Scott. My due date is October 14th but am having a schedule C-Section on October 7th... Wishing all you great blessings and baby Dust to all...

Bonnie we will add your ultra sound date to the list tomorrow-- I know you can't go by the heartbeat but I say BOY too Can't wait to hear all about it -- June will be a fun month and help pass the summer away (lol) Are you thinking its a boy anyway???? Any dreams or anything like that???? Craving anything????
Here is a ? for everyone-- Ok its going to sound stupid but something I noticed--- With my last PG (yes 8 years ago) I remember most of the kicks and movement was higher up in my belly- this one I have noticed are all lower (below my belly button) --- any one else notice this??? I couldn't tell ya if I'm carrying high or low because it feels the same as all my others and I look the same too HUGE!!!

Hey ladies. We had a dr visit today and finally scheduled the big ultrasound. It will be June 24... DH doesn't care about learning the baby's sex, but I'm dying to find out... Today the heartbeat was 132! I know they say it doesn't really mean anything, but I'm hoping it means a boy...

Anita- you know I had two friends tell me they had to fast too for the glucose test... They just told me to eat a low carb breakfast so I just had a piece of toast with nothing on it....they didn't tell me what my number was just that I passed... At that point I just glad to hear that (lol) I think that is SO sweet about your DH and lovin your belly... I've noticed my DH has been grabbing and touching mine A LOT too but this is our 5th and he never did that before - of course I am SO aware of my big belly I don't want anyone grabbing it - I just about fall over every time he does it....
SO where is everyone today??? those that know what they are having are probably out shopping (lol)

Becki, thanks for the suggestion, but I can't have anything to eat from midnight the night before the test.
My DD asked about throwing us a shower, but I told her no because "proper etiquette" says family shouldn't do it. And a friend asked also, and I told her since it wasn't number one for us, we were planning on just buying everything ourselves. But I agree with Traci, in that it's about celebrating a new little one, after all it is the original birthday, right? I don't think it should matter so much, but people around here are funny (not haha). I always buy something anyway if someone has a new little one, regardless of whether or not they had a shower. I kinda think the ladies at DH's work will organize one for him since it is his first. I think he would be tickled. He's so funny. Since I've started showing, he can't keep his hands off my belly. He even did it in front of a bunch of people at the Memorial Day picnic.

Anita- June 18th isn't that far away... I have my next OB appointment the day before I am REALLY excited to see what everyone is having- this is the exciting time!!!! Sorry you have to do the glucose test again!!!! THAT STINKS!!!! They only gave me a cup of it to drink- I remember drinking the bottle so it wasn't that bad.. A few times I thought I was going to lose it though.. BUT the nurse told me if I did I would have to do it again another day-- NO THANKS!!- (lol) I only ate toast for breakfast and nothing else... Try that and see if it helps next time... Craving anything yet?????
Traci- we are all standing by to hear your BIG announcement!!!! Since you are dreaming of both I guess that means there is one of each waiting so what ever this one is the other one will be next!!!! I too am buying things I will need the first few weeks and since I don't know if its pink or blue I get to buy colors and things that either could buy... But that is ok.... I won't be having a baby shower here.. My family is too far away and they won't do one for ya after the first baby... Oh well-- I'll buy what I need little by little (lol) SO what time do you go tomorrow???? ANd when will you post to us?????

I know Becki- tomorrow for the big US- whohoo!! Super excited! I really can't say, I had a dream prior to TR about a little girl, but recently have been having a lot of dreams about a little boy. I'm sure it'll be one of those! I've actually already got just about everything I'll need for the first few weeks- my sis and I decided to do the "shower" after the baby's arrival, and really just have it as more of a greet the baby thing. I dunno- here in the midwest it seems like many people think 2nd baby showers are tacky- even if it's been over 11 years between babies and 15 years since the first baby shower. It's not a big deal, I didn't expect anyone to get the large stuff anyway (yay garage sales!!), but I was a little surprised. It's more about celebrating the baby anyway rather than "gift grubbing". I know this can be a controversial topic and I'm not passing judgement in either case- I just know most of my family feel that way, so that's what we'll go with. Anyway, sorry for the ramble lol, and have a great day! -Traci
It sure does look like we have a nice balance of boys/girls coming.
My level II U/S is scheduled for June 18th. I will be too excited to sit still, I'm sure. Then we'll get there, and the little one will probably be difficult, like it's Father, and not let us see if it has a hot dog or a bun. I sure hope it cooperates.

Here is my update- SO I went for my glucose test today and I passed!!! Blood looks great and blood pressure perfect... I go back in three weeks we will do that twice and then every two weeks and then weekly-- Omgosh!!!! I'm 25 weeks this week and entering the 3rd trimester in a few weeks.. This has flown by and with summer being here and the kids out of school I know it will go even faster - once they start school I only have a few more weeks until ny due date... I guess I should start buying something for this little baby... I went and bought some diapers today and wipes too.. Its a start (lol)
