Ellen - I have one open tube that is 4.5 and I got my first BFP on my 15th cycle TTC. My TR son is now 4 years old. It REALLY only takes one side, sweetie! When your husband gets back it will only be a matter of time. Chin up!!

Ellen, I had my TR on 5/1/07 & HSG on 3/17/08 with no bfps in between. HSG showed left tube open and right side blocked, just like you. There is plenty of hope in that, lots of women get pg with only one tube. In fact, I got my 1st bfp in April, it was ectopic and we are still waiting to see the end of it, but we DID get pg. Don't lose hope, read this story, it's great!! GL -Lisa

Ellen, Have you had Dr Berger review your HSG results? If not please make plans to send them to him for his review. This is done free of charge. I also might suggest that your husband have a sperm sample evaluated since he too has had reversal surgery. Best wishes!

Ellen, I had my TR April 07. EP Aug 07 and nothing since. I just knew both of my tubes were blocked. I just had a Lap last Thursady to check the condition of my tubes. My left one appeared to be blocked but my right is open. My dr said all it takes is one open tube so Im hopeful. Im going to start clomid next month . Hope that stimulates my ovaries to produce extra eggies so I'll have a better chance each month. I live in NC too! Roanoke Rapids. If you ever need to chat Im here. Id say give it a few more tries before you go back to Chapel Hill. One open tube is better than none. Good luck! Kristie

Hi Ellen, My name is Tommi and I had my TR on Sept 27th, 2007. I had my HSG with my last cycle and it showed left tube open with immediate spill and right tube had "partial filling with no obvious spill". The doctor called the right tube "inconclusive/not sure, maybe blocked, maybe spasmed". Anyway, I was told that all it takes is one good tube, so don't give up hope yet.
I've been pregnant twice in the past 4 months-both with early M/C, so something has to be open in there. My doctor said he didn't think they were ectopic b/c my numbers went down on their own, without having to have the metho shot.
Best wishes to you and your family. I have such respect for military wives, and I have much appreciation for what your husband is doing for our country!! I pray God bless you with a wonderful new addition to your family. Tommi
