I also know someone that has one tube and one ovary on different sides and she thought she couldn't become pregnant, but she fell pregnant with a healthy baby girl It happens!

Aww Jenn thanks! So glad you remembered! I have 3 1/2 hours to go before the big US too, so I'm super excited! It may be late before I can post because my kids have a concert tonight, and then a family dinner- so most of you will see in the morning (provided we get to see!!) I had to choose the latest appointment available so that dh can actually be awake for it lol. Again, you're so sweet for remembering, thanks! -Traci

Clomid is a personal decision. If you feel that it is right for you then do it! There are a few women on the board that have took clomid so hopefully they will chime in!

Jeannine is correct….and to add; some women will ovulate on their blocked side and the open tube can pick up the egg from that side as well. It doesn’t happen a lot but it does happen. Most women ovulate by rotating sides…one month….left the next right, however some women have a ‘dominate ovary’ and will O mostly on that side. The only way to know for sure of any of this is to have your doc to do an U/s before you O to see which side has any mature follicles.
Also I could have sworn that I Od on my left side in December but when the u/s was performed I Od on my right. Just because you have O pains on a particular side does not necessarily mean that you will O on that side. That is called ‘Sympathy pains’.
As far as I go everything is fine….I will go back in to have my progesterone levels checked after I O this cycle.
I think that you will still ovulate every month. It is just that every other month you will ovulate out of the ovary that has the blocked fallopian tube (so no chance of PG on that side). We all still ovulated when we had our TL. We just couldn't get PG because the sperm couldn't get to the egg. Is there any way for you to know that you are ovulating on the side that has the open tube?
