Protocol is to have U/S when numbers are between 1500-2500 so that should be well before 7/10. Following b/w can help determine is numbers are raising correctly, etc etc. Sometimes they can't see anything.....however ALOT of times...e/p can be ruled out which is MOST important, as e/p can rupture even at low numbers due to the numbers becoming stagnet and not really doing anything.
MOST important to have u/s BEFORE 7/10, if nothing seen, then do a follow-up.
Your Dr is working FOR YOU.......he should be more than happy to do what is necessary to avoid a rupture etc etc.

amlycia - they probably can't see much on an u/s before then, but it is important to get bloodwork done - be sure to have it done ASAP as per the pregnancy protocols, and keep getting done every two days to be sure they are increasing properly until at least over 1500 or 2500 when they can do an ultrasound. Go to the "I'm pregnant" portion of the website for the protocol. Good luck.

My Dr told me July 10 would be the time to do the u/s. I thought that is the protocol. Can someone suggest how I would go about getting one sooner. Is is possible fo Dr. Bergers office to suggest an u/s sooner. I don't want to miss anything. I thought it sounded far away but the nurse says they won't see anything sooner than that.

amlycia...i sure hope you are going to have that u/s BEFORE 7/10. You should have the u/s when beta's are between 1500 - 2500. If there is a problem and waiting till 7/10 to have u/s you're only asking for more trouble.

As long as everything goes as planned this will be my husbands first biological child. My first level was 38.1, the nurse told me that was good for being just under 1 mo. PG. I will go for more bloodwork on Mon. Thank You to all the girls out there praying and I will be doing the same for all of you. Good Luck to everyone!!!
