Hello Everyone. I'm a 35 year old woman living in North Carolina. I too had 2 children before my TL on January 22 1990. Really looking forward to having another child with the man of my dreams and husband. He has 1 precious child that I love as my own but it would be great to share a child together. I just fax my records to Rhonda Brown RN and waiting to hear from anyone. I had two C-sections with both girls hoping for a boy. My girls are ages 18 and 16. Just like Mrs. Brown if you have any tips, warnings or suggestions please email me at bonitatevans@earthlink.net. Good luck to all the moms to be with TR. By the way want to be with child next year also..lol

Bad news... the doctor who did my TL removed 5 cm of my tube and the entire fimbria. I will be going to have a HSG x-ray to see how much tube is left so I know what options I still have. Wish me luck.

Hi Janet Reading this forum has given me hope that I didn't have before so hopefully you'll get the same feeling. I just sent my operative report and such to Dr. Berger this morning. I REALLY hope I get good news. On that not... how long did it take you ladies to hear back after you sent your stuff?

Oh, my mind has been made up for years now. I just wanted to make sure everything else in my life was in order before going through with the TR surgery. I want my new baby to be healthy and happy. (really hoping I can be one of Dr. Berger's success stories) That is why I'm here today. I'm ready to start the process as soon as I have the means to pay for it. Right now I'm trying to obtain as much information as possible about the procedure and everything that I should expect before, during and afterwards. It is a WONDERFUL thing that TL can be undone.
Welcome to you also.....I have one piece of advise for you. Enjoy the experience and go with your heart on your decision. It's great this type of technology is out here and we can actually have our tubes reversed.
I travelled from LA to have my TR in North Carolina....why? Because Dr. Berger is seasoned in the procedure. We have plenty of docs here who can do this but I wanted someone who had done many and had a good track record.
You've definitely come to the right place. Dr. Berger and his staff are the BEST! We had our TR in August, 2005. Everything about the experience was prefect. The staff is wonderful and they take excellent care of both you and DH while you're there.
For myself, I got pregnant in June of this year. Unfortunately, we miscarried but that had nothing to do with Dr. Berger or the TR. My progesterone was too low. If you're interested in the details of Dr. Berger's success you can check out this page of his site. http://www.tubal-reversal.net/tubalreversal_pregnancy_rates.htm
As for tips, warnings or suggestions. I would say one of the first things I would do (that I did do) was learn as much as you can about your cycle. Pick up a copy of Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It's a great book that will teach you everything you need to know. Also, sign up for an account on something like fertilityfriend.com and start charting your cycle. Once you have the TR you'll want to start using ovulation predictor kits to pinpoint your best days for getting pregnant. I started using the OPKs even before my TR so that once I'd had the surgery we could get started TTC right away.
Of course, the best thing to do is hang out around here and ask questions. All of us are ready and willing to help and there is no question to stupid to ask. All of us started out where you are and for most of us the support of this board is what got us through some tough times.

Hello Mrs Brown Our stories sound very similiar. I too had 2 children before having the TL and am now remarried to a wonderful man who didn't have any children of his own. Notice I said "didn't"? We just had our TR son July 9th and to say we are thrilled would be a major understatement LOL I had my TR 2/2/05 and did conceive 10 cycles later even with one blocked tube. Do send in your post op report and see what Dr Berger has to say about your tubes.Keep in mind that he CAN repair 95% of all women who do send in their reports.Best of luck! Angela
Welcome to the message board and congratulations on the decision to have a TR! We do thank you for choosing Dr. Berger to perform your surgery. Our pregnancy stats currently show a 77% pregnancy rate for women under the age of 30. This is of course based on cases that have been performed by Dr. Berger and documented. The actual percentage may be higher or lower as many do become pregnant and do not follow up with CHSC. If you have any questions and/or concerns please do not hesistate to contact us. We look forward to seeing you here in the near future.

Hi ladies. I'm a 30 year old woman living in Arkansas. I had 2 children before my TL which was done in 1998. Since, I have remarried and would like to have a child with my new husband. I haven't scheduled an appointment for the TR yet but will be doing so possibly next year when I have the money. (wish it could be sooner) I've looked around and it sounds like Dr. Berger is the person to go to for TR surgery. My BMI is 24.2. I also had a C-section with my first child in 1996. I guess I'm just wondering what my chances are. I do plan to send my operative report to Dr. Berger as soon as I dig it out.
It sounds like many of you have had a great experience with the surgery and actually becoming pregnant afterwards. I'm excited but nervous. Are there any tips, warnings or suggestions that any of you have for me?
