It is understandable that you are anxious about whether you can have a tubal reversal. The good news is that Dr. Berger can repair the tubes in most cases. Many women have come to him who have had a TL by bipolar cautery and have had successful tubal reversals. Feel free to fax or send your operative report from your tubal ligation for an evaluation by Dr. Berger. One of the nurses will get back with you quickly. We look forward to hearing from you. I was nervous too about getting the Tr- all the what if's - that kept going through my mind. Then I thought Dr. Berger is the best and so many women have been thrilled with him. I too might as well give it a shot instead of always regretting the TL and wondering what if with the TR- SO I went for it and it was the BEST choice I have ever made in my life. I feel so much better and whole again- The staff were all wonderful and Dr. Berger AMAZING!!! There are no promises on your outcome but you will never know if you don't try- Here is what I found out about your type of TL - I hope it helps.. and I say GO FOR IT!!!! Lots of Love & Good Luck! Bipolar tubal coagulation
Bipolar tubal coagulation is the most popular method of laparoscopic female sterilization in the United States. With this method of tubal ligation, the fallopian tube is grasped between two poles of electrical conducting forceps, and electrical current passes through the tube between the two ends of the forceps. Damage to the tube is limited to the segment between the forceps. Often, two or three adjacent sites are coagulated resulting in loss of approximately 2-3 cm of fallopian tube. Bipolar tubal coagulation is a good method of female sterilization for women who decide to have a tubal reversal procedure. Pregnancy rates after reversal of bipolar tubal coagulation are approximately 60%.
I had bi-polar cauterization with 1 tube also having 2 falope rings.... I had tr 7/23/07...and have 3 cm on each side. I have been pg twice and hoping 3times a charm.
I had a Tl in Oct 2007 and I am feeling guilty about having it done, especially since I did not give my mate of 3 years a child he so badly wants. I am now considering having a TR, but I am scared that i might not be eligible to get it. I believe the method that was used is bipolar. Is there anyone out there who has had this method of TL and successfully had a TR? Please anyone give me some advice!
