Yes....I am VERY interested in reading about PTLS. Thank you for directing me to the link. In fact, I am writing a 'Case Study Analysis' research paper on PTLS. If anyone else has ANY info that could be helpful, I would appreciate you sending it to me. My email is portlandmom and I am at gmail dot com.

OMG I CAN'T BELEIVE I'M READING THIS!!!! My SIL got her TL done a year and a half a go and lately here her hair is falling out!!! Like crazy she went to the hair dresser they said it was from having her baby, but seriously she never breast fed only bottle.... A year and a half later???? Not only that she's having really bad Ovary pain. Before during and after O'ing. wow.... I don't know if I even want to tell her. That makes sense. She told me what the hair dresser said, it made no sense to me, 4 months after birth yeah but not a year and a half.... I had no idea of PTLS until I looked it up after she had her tubes tied, or I NEVER would've let her do it. You are going to need to get some hair gel a light one to hold down all those new hairs when they grow back in, they will but when they do they will stick straight up that's what she's done to keep her hair looking normal.

I have been losing my hair since my TL 17 months ago. Not just a little...it comes out in clumps when I wash or brush my hair. My hair used to be so thick my hairdresser had to 'thin' it out during haircuts. Now I can barely keep it up in a clip. It is so thin it just slides back out. I asked my hairdresser, thinking it was from the chemicals...she said it was stress. I asked my doctor...she tested for thyriod problems...normal. Never heard of PTLS until this message board. It seems 'hair loss' is one of the symptoms of PTLS...who knew? Does anyone else have this problem? I can't believe I am not bald by now! ;-) Chris
