Thank you so much Robin. It's good to hear others stories. Makes you feel not alone so much. I had my son at 19 right before my mother passed away. I was pretty much alone raising him till I met and married my husband. I had a rough pregnancy with him and he seemed to have come down with everything under the sun after he was born. My daughter just turned 1 also not as rough of a pregnancy but bed rest the final 3 mths like with my son. I decided when I was pregnant with her it was the right thing to do pregnancy and me just don't mix well. Since I've had her though I've regretted it. We've bough our first house my husbands career is really taking off and from the way it looks I will have the ability to just take off during my pregnancy without having to worry about pay and missing days when I don't feel good etc... we are in alot better of a position. My husband wanted a big family to begin with so he was really upset with my decision and once I started telling him that I'd rethought it he got really happy! Happier than he's been in a while. I know this is the right decision now for us I'm just patiently waiting for him to come back to shore duty so I can have him by my side for the entire experiance good or bad. Thank you all so much again for all the advice and well wishes it's making this a much better experiance that even I had hoped for Luv you girls!
I got pregnant with my first daughter at 16, second daughter was born by age 20. My husband and I struggled just to feed everybody much less have any extras. Since that time I began student loans and I went back to school. I am a RN today and I will graduate with my bachelors in 7 weeks with only 8 more classes to finish my masters. Anyways, the week of graduation from my associates in nursing I found out I was pregnant with baby #3. Talk about devastation. I didn\'t't want anymore babies. The first two was so hard. My third pregnancy was horrible. My baby's kidneys were dilated the whole pregnancy. They thought she was had a renal blockage. Then she had some heart problems. I had my tubes timed immediately. I was a nervous wreck the whole pregnancy. I was sick the whole 9 months. It was an awful experience compared to my first two. My tubes were tied 1 hour after delivery. My baby ended up being healthy. She has a mild heart murmur which is stable and no symptoms. After I got back to my room from O.R. I knew I made a mistake. My husband begged me not to have the procedure, my mom begged me to have it. I was scared and I did it. This 3rd baby is four years old now and rotten as rotten can be. I have enjoyed her so much more than I was able with my first two. Mainly because I have matured and I realize how special time is with them. I want another baby and so does my husband. I had my reports sent to CH and I found out I had the pomeroy procedure and 3.2 and 3.5 was taken out. I am not sure of our chances of ever conceiving again but I want to try. If my husband gets this new job he has been trying then we will be able to afford it. The insurance there will pay for the procedure and if he doesn't get it then I will have to wait a while longer. I just keep praying that I am doing the right thing. Misty, I understand about rough prengnancy and not being able to handle it again that is until you don't have the chance to get to handle it which is even worse. Robin

Hello Ladies... I had my Tr in March of 2006. After my divorce and having two children I never thought that I will rekindle an old romance from my teenage yrs and go on to have the TR after 10yrs of my TL. I didnt think about this procedure twice. I am a Medical Assistant and have a good tolorence for pain so I knew pain or no pain, this was right for me so as soon as I found the website and reviewed docs credential I knew that this was it and I booked immediately and within a month I was flying to NC, to have this done. Operation took 45 mins and on the same day I was up and walking and getting ready to take a flight to come back home. Sure you are a little sore but you see beyond that. ladies for those who delivered children in the past (even C Section). this is nothing compare to that... I know everyone takes pain differently but really its mind over matter. remind yourself why you are doing this and the pain will not come close... by the way. I have a beautiful 1yr old baby girl who was concieved 2 mths after my TR. and she was worth everything!!!! and now im on to my 4th child. this has made a big difference in my life.. Thanks again to Dr. Berger and his staff... I had the dream and Dr. Berger made it come true..
Sincerely Seli (proud mom of a 14yr boy, 12yr girl and now 1yr babygirl).and counting!!!!

Mistydawn729 I dont know much about the pain and recovery and what not but a lady named Miranda had her surgery Monday and she had 2 previous c-sections and she said her pain is less than what she experience with her c-sections. I read somewhere online not on this website that you could compare the pain to what you experience with a TL now however I did bring this point up in a topic once and alot of women said this was not true and personally I kind of was hoping it was since I absolutely had no pain with my TL I took no pain meds anything wasnt sore it was perfect anyways alot of women say they are just sore but each day gets better um some say just take your pills are directed and rest and you will be ok. I have a zero pain tolerance level and for some reason I am not afraid of the surgery itself or the pain afterwards Im terrified of being put to sleep that is my only concern. Sorry to rattle on but I sure hope this helps. You can come join us in the waiting room if you would like its for ladies pre TR and post TR no matter what stage of the journey your own and you learn alot. Jennifer in NC
OBTW there was another lady on here whos DH is the army or some branch of the armed forces and I know you said your waiting on him to be able to go on this journey with you but she was going to go ahead and get her TR and that way when he got home she would be ready for him LOL. Just thought I would throw that out there for you. GL in whatever you decide you will find tons of love and support here. Jennifer in NC
I got my OP report from both the Dr and the hosptial and had them fax them to Dr. Berger - If there is a way for your tubes to be repaired it will be Dr. Berger that can fix it. He will read the reports and let you. AS far as the pain- REALLY, I thought it was a lot better then the TL. I have never had a c-section so I don't know how bad that pain is but I have had 6 laperoscopies - my apedix taken out and my tonsils and again this surgery was teh easiest!!! I drove 7 + hours to FLordia after wards and I just kept taking the meds on time weather I needed them or not and slept most of the way home. Once I was home I really didn't need them any more so I stopped them and felt fine!!! Maybe someone else will chime in and compare the TL to their c-sections but I have heard there is NO comparison the TR is hands down better..
You will have the board to keep you company as you count down the day until your TR - a year will go faster than you think!!!
