Hello Ladies,
I sent my TL report to Dr B. and he said It looks like the TL dr took off 4-5cm on both sides and I had a bilateral TL with Cauterizing or burning.

I am just worried that I will not have enough to work with when it is all done.

Thanks for sharing

I would advise you to send your OR from your TL to Dr B for him to review. When having TL, you must remember that when Dr B goes in..he also has to remove any damaged areas etc etc....with that said.. I had cuatery that affected 1.5 cm of tube and walked out after TR with 3 remaining on each side. So best thing...send report to dr b to review and then go from there!

My tube lengths are R-4.5cm and L-3.5cm which means I had around 5.5-6.5cm removed from TL b/c Dr.B did not have to remove any. I have seen many women with tubes as short or shorter get pregnant. If that is all you have and will have to get removed than your tubes should still be around 5-6cm long. Those are great lengths. I would send your TL surgery report in and Dr.B will let you know for sure if you are a good candidate. I wish you the best!

Hi Octavia welcome to the boards. Im sure some other ladies will chime in but I had bipolar cautery done as my form of TL and the dr cauterized (burned) 3cm from each of my tubes and Dr. B said I was an excellent canadiate for the
TR surgery. The best thing to do is to obtain your operative report from the dr or facility who did your TL and forward it to Dr. B and let him take a look and see if your a candidate or not. HTH Jennifer in NC TR 8-04-08
