Hi, my name is Karen and I live in Manchester, England. I am 39 yrs old and I have 4 children from a past relationship. I am now with a new partner, he is 23 yrs old and has no children of his own. I had my surgery sept 10th 07 and i did get PG in dec but sadly had a MC in feb at 10wks. Good luck with everything, Dr B is fantastic, Chapel Hill is definately the place to go for TR. I only wish I'd done it sooner as i did 2yrs on IVF and spent a lot more money with no results.

nikkojay, I'm here at Chapel Hill now. I had my surgery yesterday and we met a wonderful couple from England. She has read the message board but never typed on it. When she gets home she is going to get on so I will tell her to look for you. She is 39 and her DH is 37. Her name is Amanda and her tubes are 6 on both sides. Her screen name is smiler. Nicola I know that there are some ladies on the over 40 tread that live out of the US. You may want to try there. I wish you all the best as you go for your TR. When you get to CH you will get to look at the maps they have up that shows all the people that have been there. You get to put a tack on where you are from. Miranda

Wow! What a trip you will be making! I admire that you are going after your dreams. I am also remarried and desire to have another child with my new husband. I am ready to schedule my TR now, but am waiting to see if my dh's sperm count gets better with his next test (he just had a vas-reversal). We didn't anticipate this issue at all. I hope your surgery goes well for you!
