Aisha, If your last cycle was May 14, it should be time for your regular cycle. Heavy menstrual bleeding is one f the signs of ptls. Please call your doctor today when they open to see if they can get you in early so that they can set your mind at ease.

Women with chlamydial infection in the lower genital tract may develop an ascending infection that causes acute salpingitis with or without endometritis, also known as PID. Symptoms tend to have a subacute onset and usually develop during menses or in the first two weeks of the menstrual cycle.2 Symptoms range from absent to severe abdominal pain with high fever and include dyspareunia, PROLONGED MENSES, and intramenstrual bleeding. Twenty percent of women who develop PID become infertile, 18 percent develop chronic pelvic pain, and 9 percent have a tubal pregnancy.2 The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that physicians maintain a low threshold for diagnosing PID and that empiric treatment be initiated in women at risk of sexually transmitted disease (STD) who have uterine, adnexal, or cervical motion tenderness with no other identifiable cause.2
The CDC recommends that anyone who is tested for chlamydial infection also should be tested for gonorrhea.2 This recommendation was supported by a study5 in which 20 percent of men and 42 percent of women with gonorrhea also were found to be infected with C. trachomatis.
Follow-up of patients with urethritis is necessary only if symptoms persist or recur after completion of the antibiotic course. If symptoms suggest recurrent or persistent urethritis, the CDC recommends treatment with 2 g metronidazole (Flagyl) orally in a single dose plus 500 mg erythromycin base orally four times per day for seven days, or 800 mg erythromycin ethylsuccinate orally four times per day for seven days.2 [corrected] This recommendation is to provide treatment for other bacterial causes of urethritis.
Patients should be advised to abstain from sexual intercourse for seven days after treatment initiation. In addition, physicians should obtain exposure information for the preceding 60 days and consider screening for other STDs such as human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).2

First all I'am not in denial of a std That has been cured two weeks ago and second of all I'am not trying to diagnose myself and third of all I have a doctor"s appionment on monday the 16th. fourth all I was trying to get help and advice. please stop saying thatIam in denial about anything I never said that I ws in denial about anything. I do not have a std that is all ready been cured. when I went to the ER on may 23 2008 they gave flagy that I took on that day so far as the std I do not have. Iam still bleeding I do not know where it is coming from. and they gave pain meds.I"am trying to get advice on the bleeding that is all. And thats why I said that I"am not going to post anymore cause yall can be mean. Thanks Aisha 32, Meartie 44, Tyisha 10,Diamond 5
I have gone through and read all of the postings on this subject. Although my first instinct is to feel sympathy for you, I am finding that I am frustrated.
You really, really, really need to get to a doctor. PERIOD. Quit trying to self diagnose and get into the doctor.
You have been given this advice over and over, but have yet to do anything about it. Denial about your STD is not helping your situation at all.
Get yourself better so that you can re-focus your energy.

Hi Aisha I don't post too often, but do follow the boards. Please don't feel offended by what was said. Everyone was just trying to give you advice. I feel the ladies where trying to be there and look out for you. It is best that you get the bleeding checked on and taken care of before your TR, and I understand what you were trying to ask. If you would like to talk just send me your e-mail and I will be glad to help if i can. Just concerned that's all. Take Care
