Princess - I am having the TR on 6/2 for PTLS and not to conceive because I have 3 healthy kids (3, 5, & 8) but I had my last one at age 40, having gotten pg by accident! I guess I have spunky motivated eggs! I had the TL with my 3rd C-S since we figured accidental lighting might strike twice! I have a friend (who never had a TL) but she just had her 3rd baby...at age 44 (a healthy happy girl)..It can be done! 40 is the new 30, you know!!..I wish you luck on your quest!

Hello Teri, I am also 41 and am scheduled for June. There are quite a few of us over 40 on the board and most of us have introduced ourselves in the 40+ board. On that forum, there are other women who are very supportive and genenerous with sharing helpful information. You can find the 40+ forum at: http://forums.tubal-reversal.net/ubb/ultimatebb.php/topic/4/849.html
Also, I took the FSH test at cd3. You can read about this test on the CH Web site, but basically it seems to give you an idea of how many eggs you have and the quality of your eggs. (Lower is better and I think the nurse Sarah, told me that Dr.B doesn't like to take anything over 13. Of course, you should check with the nurses on the details).

Princess- I know that there are test your ob can run to determine the quality of your eggs and how close you are to menapause. I'm not sure what they are called, but there is a thread fro women over 40 and I'm sure they'd be happy to answer any questions you may have. Don't worry about "butting into" a thread- just ask away. I think they may be listed as "after TR" so look for them there!! Good luck!

Amanda- I was 27 when I had me TL and 28 when I had my TL. I, too, had a very complicated pregnancy and listened to the one doc who said to not have more babies. After that experience, my hubby and I spoke to several specialists and learned that it would be okay for me to get pregnant again. My TR was in March of 2007 and due to my schooling, we just started ttc a few months ago. Good luck with whatever you decide!

Hello, I just wanted to say that you have came to the right place. I to had my tubes clamped. I had my TL in 97 and then got remarried to a wonderful man with no children. He really wanted kids so we did the TR march 31,2005. I got PG the following month and had our 1st TR baby 12/09/05. Then we had our 2nd TR baby (boy) 1/28/07. Wait not finished yet, we are happy to say that one week ago on Sunday may 18,2008 we had our 3rd TR baby (girl). Your question about does it work, well it did for me. It can take longer for some people and only time will tell. What I do know is that DR.B and his staff are more than doctors, they are people who really care about you and will help you in anyway that they can. From telling you everything detail by detail. People ask me all the time how many kids will I have. My husbabd is a very good father and we love kids so much. Without him it would be hard but he is always there when I need him. He gets up in the nights and does a lot of their changes. We have been so blessed with having 3 babies in a short time. Before long DR.B will put me on his list for having the most TR babies, LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish you more than the best and please remember you are in welcome arms here. Wishing you the best

I didn't want a TL, it was my ex-husband and my mother that convinced me to do it. Hindsight I should have told him to have a vasectomy - which he did anyway after our divorce! I always wanted a house full of kids, but glad I stopped at 4 with him anyway. He wasn't a very good father - still isn't. My mother was just concerned about my health and didn't want me to financially burden myself. If I had the money and knew the possibilities years ago, I would have done it a long time ago. But like you, I regretted it from day one. The only reason I agreed was because I had a c-section and it was easier to do it then instead of wait for surgery later. Easy out for the ex-hubby too!

Welcome to the board, Amanda. As Caroljean776, we do have a prepayment option that's great for saving up for your tubal reversal reversal. Feel free to email me directly if you have any questions. ErickaP@tubal-reversal.net

Hi Amanda. I had my TR last month on 4/14/08 and we are TTC now. A TR would probably do well for you. With no tubes cut off, you should have very successful surgery, and the fact that you are only 28 is another plus on your side. You are definitely on the higher percentage of success rate side. There are payment plans and other finance options. Just contact their office. Good luck!

Amanda hi my name is Jennifer and I live in NC I had my tl after my 2nd son was born at the age of 22. I am scheduled to have my tr on aug 4, 2008 with Dr. M he is new but is training under Dr. B so from july 21 until sep 1 he is running a special for 4900 that is all inclusive all you have to pay for is hotel cost, travel expenses and food and any entertainment. But after that the price will go to 5900 just like Dr. B's price. They do offer a prepayment plan the first initial payment is 250 dollars and then after that you can send in what you want when you want and then you can schedule when you get the funds. When you do have all the funds if you pay I believe its by wire transfer they will knock off an additional 100 dollars. If you however want a date now and cant pay for it upfront you can go ahead and schedule and make payments but the price is 6900 dollars and must be paid in full 3 weeks prior to your surgery. I believe I have all the info correct but if not you can refer back to the section on the home page under cost. HTH and GL to you in whatever you choose to do. Jennifer in NC TR 8/4/08

My husband tells my I\'m so mean and moody when my period is about to come on and then two week after it goes off . my hormone levels r low the ones that make u want to have sex i thought it was just me ... why do doctors allow this if they no there r side affects . this is crazy ..i just wish that i would have know what i was in for later in life and NEVER DONE IT .. thanks so much for the feed back no i have to look into how much a tr cost /cry.
