5xlove-I m scheduled in Aug. and Im coming from Amarillo. We chose to fly. I found roundtrip tickets for the both of us for $835 and with a shorter flight time. I know if leaving from Lubbock it was a little cheaper because we talked about driving there and leaving out from there. I dont know if that was a good deal but the cheapest I found. We are flying American. Hope that helps.

I am coming from OK, and used mapquest to figure the drive time...and it's like 18 hours. I live very close to I-40, so it's not like it would be hard to find the way, but we would never drive straight through, so that means stopping for a night both ways, plus gas money, plus more time away from the kids and the pets. I shopped around all the airlines, and was able to purchase our airfare back in April at under $600 for both of us!! There is no question, that worked out cheaper than driving.

We drove from Ct, took two days, but at the time I worked at a Holiday Inn and we were able to stay at ant Holiday Inn much cheaper, so I booked a room for each night we needed to stay 2 down 1 home, we stayed at a friend of DH's on the way home too.

For us..from NJ to NC..the airfare, taxes, need to pay for our car in overnight parking, etc. was way more than the gas cost for the 9 hour drive..but you have a much longer way to go!

DH and I are driving to CH from Maryland ( about a 5 hr drive ). I think we can use the road trip.
We purchased a nursing pillow, something that would wrap around me and be able to use later....smile

Hello. We drove to ours. I had mine done Feb,19,2008. I live in Florida and that was a long ride but the pain meds they give you really really was amazing. So dont worry it will all be just fine. Take care and good luck. Martie

We did the 9 hour drive from NC back to NJ..boy was that hard,,every bump and curve in the road was tough but I was quite pleased to have those little pain-killers to take the edge off and we made it home safely.

I drove from NJ and it went great until we were an hour from home. That last hour took over 4 hours due to an ice storm!!
