Here's my stats:
TR 10-15-07
MC 11-20-07
BW confirmed 0 HCG about 6 days later.
got preg again - the first time we BD'd no less with a condom how freaking ridiculous!!!! It broke.
EP 12-14-07
It was for sure 2 seperate pregancies and for sure very early with both losses.
I MC on AF due date and had been getting BW done.
EP same thing my 2nd BW results were bad and a lap confirmed along with US that the tube had burst there was blood in my abdomen.
My tube was taken out 4 days before AF was due.
I was 2 weeks pregnant. The Dr. said my tube was too skinny it couldn't take it, no pregnancy on that side would ever make it out, it would always end in EP. I was better off.
Paulnjenn it happened to me. My tube was not right at all, not from birth, the Dr. said it was just too skinny to begin with. I had a lot of pain w. my first DD on that side when I first found out I was preg. with her, I'm sure now that back then it was a skinny tube causing the pain, with her in there but she made it to the right place. [Smile] She's 12 now.
I was 2 weeks preg w/ the EP though a little further into implantation I tested BFP at 8DPO. It sucks my bikini days are over... the scars are high so they show. They are still purple and very noticeable, not that I'm skinny enough anyway LOL. Yeah unfortunately I have the scars to remember it by, it indeed happened...
Good thing is my left side is better, fatter, more normal sized so I should be ok next time.
See I thought maybe it was the 1st preg not gone, but Dr. said without a doubt I tested 0 HCG so it was another new pregnancy and a very early one, after all he had the whole tube and all in his hand to look at so I can't really second guess my Dr. he was looking right at it! Had it sent to pathology, everything confirmed it was a very early preg, in a very skinny tube. The time was right I had O'd got right on track after the MC since it was so early I O'd like normal.
It can happen I'm proof of it.
HPT testing starting at 12 DPO is a good place to start. I start at 10 DPO I'm afraid not to after all that!

Mama could you have been farther along than you thought? Just wondering because when I was prego with my son the first month I still had bleeding when AF should have shown light but still could have been AF. Same with my girls.

I personally would take Dr, B's advice...I really don't think he would steer you in the wrong direction.

I still to this day have never heard of anyone rupturing at the time of implantation or shortly there after.

That is very scary news for me. I just hate the thoughts of losing another baby. I had a m/c about 10 years ago and still have problems emotionally from that.

I tested + at 8 DPO w/ the Ep preg.
With the MC preg I tested + at 10 DPO I think the best for sure bet is to start testing at 12DPO though.
8 is really rare. 10 is better, by 12 it's pretty much for sure, I wouldn't wait though. For me I just don't even want to think about the shape I would've been in.

Yes Dannygirl my AF is a regular 28 days, almost to the minute some months. Just like clockwork.

Four days before my AF would be 8 DPO. Since a women's Luteal Phase varies from women to woman, Testing at 8 DPO is VERY early. Not saying that women can't get a +hpt that early but most will get the emotionally draining BFN.

Implantation happens as early as 6 DPO to as late as 12 DPO. It takes a minimun of two days for hCG to hit your urine.

On FRER 5 days sooner tests it states:

The FIRST RESPONSEŽ Test is so sensitive that most women have enough hCG to be detected as early as 4 days before their expected period. The amount of pregnancy hormone increases as pregnancy progresses. In clinical testing, FIRST RESPONSEŽ detected the hormone levels in 69% of women 4 days before their expected period, in 83% of women 3 days before their expected period, in 93% of women 2 days before their expected period, and in 93% of women 1 day before their expected period.

So 4 days prior to AF, 31% of women WOULD get a negative result even if Pregnant.

Dannygirl and Amber I had an EP that burst 4 days before AF was due and ended up getting emergency surgery to get my right tube removed. I wouldn't have lasted until AF due date I would've hemorraged by then and needed a transfusion.
I had already had 2 BW when they removed my tube. Dr. had a hunch it was in my tube, he said when he got in there my abdominal cavity was full of blood already I had about 2 pints of blood free inside of me just free....
Personally I would say start testing at 12 DPO. No later to be safe.

For women who have regular cycles, I recommend waiting to test for pregnancy until the period is late. When the cycles are not regular and the date of the next expected menstrual period is unpredictable, it makes sense to test by 2 weeks after ovulation as determined by a positive OPK.

I was wondering about everyone posting so early. I haven't had my TR yet but was worrying about it. I don't know why but I was thinking about all the m/c that happened before AF was even due. I have been through a m/c before tl and to this day 10 yrs later still dealing with the pain. I was not looking forward to the thoughts of an early m/c. Thank you for the info Jenn.

Here is the link for this info:

Urine Pregnancy Tests:

Urine pregnancy tests are easy to use at home. The various urine tests available vary in in their sensitivity and therefore how early they will detect a pregnancy. It is important to follow the instructions for an accurate test result.

Question: When should I perform a home pregnancy (urine) test?

Answer: Wait until your menstrual period is late before performing a urine pregnancy test.

Question: How accurate are urine tests?

Answer: Urine tests or home pregnancy tests are approximately 97% accurate when performed according to the instructions. However, if not done correctly or performed too early, the results may be inaccurate.

Question: What should I do if I get a negative result?

Answer: If you get a negative test result and still have pregnancy signs or symptoms (such as a missed period and breast tenderness), repeat the test in a few days or contact your doctor to have a blood test done.

Amber, many women test at different times, but I know many women have tested as early as 8DPO and got a + I would say go ahead and test if you want to. I myself do not test until I miss AF which has not happened for a long time. Praying for a BFP your way

I have seen numberous times on the boards to test early...test early...test early.

I understand this has saved a lot of women from a lot of possible bad situations. However my questions is how early??? I have read that no one has seen a positive HPT before 12 DPO, and usually not until 14 DPO. For me this is about when AF is due to make her appearance and I am not sure how early to start testing. Should I begin at 12 DPO or earlier???

Any suggestions or comments are always welcome,
Thanks ladies,

Amber
