Dawn, your right about post TR tube length. I was talking about pre-TL tube length - what you're born with. Although you can start with 8-10 cm pre TL, and if the doctor doing the TL burns or cuts too much you can unfortunately be left with very little.

Hi, Leigh, I just turned 39 (June), my tubes were cut and burned in 2/96, and I had my TR 12/31/07. I am 5'0", and my end results were 6.0 on both sides. R did show blocked in an HSG in May, but we got our BFP on June 23, and I am currently 6wks pregnant! So, yes there is definately a chance of getting pregnant! I am just one of a LOT of women on here who have been.
The tube length you have left is determined by the type of TL that was done, how much your DR took out when/if they cut them, and how many places they burnt them if more than once.

Leigh, I also had mine burned and had my TR 4/14/08. Dr. Berger said the tubes looked great and I had good lengths 6.0 and 7.5 cm. But I am tall (5'9") so supposedly taller height can mean longer tube length. My TL was done 12.5 years ago, and I just turned 42. We are currently TTC. Good luck!

Leigh welcome to the board. There are many who had their tubes burned and have gotten pregnant. I had my TR on 3/24/08. My tubes had 2-3cm removed and where burned as well. We are TTC right now. I wish you all the best. Miranda

Hi welcome! My tubes were burned also. I just sent my form to my hospital where I had my tubal ligation to see if DR. Berger can fix it. I'm so nervous but reading posts and testimonials are great and helpful.
the answer to your question is yes! Mine were burned and clipped, and I just had my TR the first of July. Keep looking around this site and you will see all kinds of women who have become pregnant. It just depends on where the tubes were burned, and how much. if you get your operative report to Chapel hill, Dr. berger and staff will look it over, and go through it with you and let you knwo their recomendations!

Hi my name is Leigh I am 33 years old and I have had my tubes tied now for 7 years next month. If I known my life was going to change I wouldnt have gotten it done. Does anyone know that if they were burned there is still a chance of getting pregnant after surgery.
