Hi Pam, Thank you so much for the link. That is a lot better than the numbers Martha gave me in our e-mails early this week. 63% is the range that I fall in! That is excellent! I can't wait to share this information with my husband. It makes me want it to be March that much sooner! That is when I can take vacation to make the trip to Chapel Hill. That is a better statistic than I had hoped for. Thank you for the encouragement, Rachel

Rachel, I am so glad to hear that you are saving for your tubal reversal. I thought you would enjoy Dr Monteith's recent blog on Fimbriectomy and Tubal Reversal. Not only is this blog full of excellent information, but I think you will find the encouragement you are looking for! I hope to hear very soon that you have decided to schedule your surgery. Best wishes!

Did anyone else that is saving for TR have a fimbriectomy? I understand that it is a fairly uncommon method. Does anyone know of someone else that had that type of tubal and has been sucessful in conceiving? I know my chances are very low (around 30%) if the surgery goes well. I just thought it would be encouraging if anyone knew of another's sucess.

I am also saving for TR. We went through IVF 3 years ago when we were told that my fimbriectomy could not be reversed by anyone. That ended badly and was terribly expensive. Now we are saving to have a reversal hopefully this coming spring. We have about 1/3 of it, but I wanted Dr. Berger to review my post op and pathology before we got too excited. We got the good news yesterday that Dr. Berger will try, with no guarantees. That is good enough for me. I have 4 children ages 9, 11, 10 and 14 all from a previous marriage. I will be 32 by the time we have TR. I am just keeping my fingers crossed and adding to the baby fund every week.
We are saving here as well. Last year in Nov. right after I turned 28yrs. old I decided this was the right decision. I started saving right away, but unfortunately "life" had other plans & there went the savings along with it.
So here we go again back at the drawing board. Ideally, I would love to have the TR early next year Feb or March. So I am keeping prayerful & keeping my fingers crossed. I am contemplating sending in to money to start the saving account with Chapel Hill, maybe that will help me along faster. Hmm....We will see.

Hi! I had originally planned on having my TR in March of 08, but some financial things came up and we've had to change our plans. I should have the funds together to have TR this spring, shooting for March or April.

Hello. My husband and I were talking last night and we are looking into end of June. I wanted it in Febuary but it is too soon since we are working on getting through our mortgage. yuck!! lol But we will be saving after xmas. I am taking some of our income tax towards it and we also have a health savings plan that we are going to save with. I can't wait!! I wish I could go now...
