Ok Ladies I just want to inform you all I too have suffered from this PTLS **** long enough and have signed the potition too. The count is now up to 809! Hopefully they will put a stop to all the nonsense we put up with from our dr's. Dr. Berger is an exception. I have never dealt with a more extrordinary medical staff and I haven't even been to have my TR yet! Have a wonderful day. Your TR Buddy, Shawneen

My favorite conversation with my ex GYN was the one where he wanted to put me on anti-depressants because I kept having false pregnancy symptoms. First, he blamed all the symptoms on my age "You are getting older you know, and a woman's body changes after she reaches a certain age." I was 24 years old!!!! Then they told me it was all in my head. I did eventually find a sympathetic doc who actually asked to see Dr. Berger's DVD because she was fascinated. She had heard of the procedure but had never seen one done.
Anyway, just fair warning that most docs will not be very responsive if you tell them you have PTLS. Good luck though!
I had a doctor tell me that they say it isn't related to the TL and call it PMS. This way, they can treat the symptoms. Which by the way is to put you on the pill, do ultrasounds, hmmmm, sound like money in the doc's pockets to you. Now you know why they say it isn't related to the TL.
Anyway, I am here for you if you would like to email me. legalsec14@tds.net.
I had very bad symptoms after my TL and thought that I was going crazy until I ran into Dr. B's website. I cried for 2 days, thanking God that I wasn't crazy. It is horrible that doctors are allowed to get away with this and that money is more important than a woman's health.

KM, do not be dissappointed if he says there is no such thing. I heard the same thing for three years. Doctors deny that it exists because there is no HARD proof. Well, doctors also used to deny any such thing as PMS! HELLO!! Good luck Friday. I hope your Dr. can help. I know what you are feeling and it can take a dreadful toll on your life.
My doc put me on estrogen patches that I only wore during AF. They helped with the headaches because the estrogen levels bottoming out seemed to be what caused them for me. They helped quite a bit. It might be worth looking into until you get your TR. Hope this helps!

Big HUGE light bulb just turned on. I had my TL 12 years ago and AF has never been the same. Very very crampy and I bleed like a stuck pig! (sorry if that was TMI). I get headaches often and just suffer every month with AF. My doc has suggested birth control pills but what's the point? Isn't that what the TL was to do for me? I shouldn't have to take pills too. He also said once on the BC pills it can affect my chances of having children for up to a year once I stop taking them (after I have the TR). I don't want to do that, so for now I will just suffer each month. I have super mood swings and my 15 DD has accused me of being bipolar!
It's reassuring to know I'm not crazy and this isn't just 'me' or in my head.

WOW!!! I can not believe that almost a year and a half ago I started this thread. I had my TR in early August, and on September 8th I answered my own question. Yes, there is relief! I feel amazing! I did not even know my period was going to start (surprise!). Not as much as a cramp untill after I had already started. I ALWAYS knew before TR because of the crazy bad symptoms. I did have some very mild cramps, but that is ALL! Oh, BTW my sex drive is back in full force too! I know not everyone may have the same results, but no one can ever tell me " it's all in your head " again. You are not crazy....what you feel is real.
May I say that more common than post tubal syndrome, is postnatal depression, and that you should seek out a family doctor, that will spend the time to discuss your feelings, and help you to get back in charge.
It may be time to stand up for yourself girl, no one should be 'pushed' into it. At the risk of sounding like those family members - You know you must "get over it" for you are a mother.
You don't mention your age, but I guess you may be young, and as have just had the ligation, I'm thinking you would make a good candidate for reversal. So get those reports in, talk to your local doctors and keep us posted here.

HI! I need help and I don't know where to turn. I just had a baby girl almost two weeks ago and had a tubal. I didn't know ANYTHING about "problems", I was 'pushed' into it by family members who didn't know anything bad about it also. I have suffered from crying, panic attacks, and severe regret, and a feeling of dying inside since the day I had this done. I'm just a poor married women on medicaid and I don't know how I'll ever be able to get a reversal. My family says "get over it" but... I can't! If I could I would. Who would want to feel this way. If anyone has any advise for me please let me know. I can use some prayers too.

I know I already posted on this matter below but here I am again. Just got off my AF from he--, I can't wait because I only have one more before the big TR day. (Three weeks and counting). I thought that this month was the end to my relationship because I was one physcho loonatic and turned into Linda Blaire. I don't think my DH can handle one more month of these PTLS symptoms before he hits the door because that's how bad it was this month. He also knows that when AF is here that my mood swings are temporary and they will go away. I give him alot of credit for standing by my side!! I know that wanting to have another baby was my first reason to get schedule my TR but after reading all the posts, I am hoping so much for the relief of PTLS. It's real!!! I don't care what any DR says and we are all proving it here in this forum. Good Luck To ALL Of You Ladies and I pray that God will make a way to fund your reversals for those of you who are still waiting.

Ladies it seems that the doctors that tell us that everything is not related to the TL are the ones who should get their head check!!! If so many of the women who got their tubes tied are getting them reversed and also the ones who want them reveresed but don't have the money yet, are a bigggggggggggg percentage!!!! So what's the big deal with them! Can't they just admit IT!!!! The day that their is a law protecting the women who have their tubes tied and then later have all these symptoms comes, has been passeddd is the day we can all say Halelujah!!!!!it's about TIME!!!!!!!!
