Blaze Of course breast size doesn't have anything to do with BMI, but I do know someone that had a reduction and the dr removed 5-6 pounds from each side! 11# is alot of weight to be carrying around. Her back is feeling much better now.

Hello ladies, just wondering if anyone is just as discouraged as me? Trying to lose 30 lbs and have only lost 7 lbs so far, any recommendations on how I could lose more quicker? I do aerobics 2 times a week, just need to get that BMI down by the end of Feb.

155 pounds is well under the BMI requirements. I'm 5"4" and about 180 and I'm under the requirements for the surgery. I don't think it matters if your breasts are large, or small for that matter. Hopes this helps.

I have one question about the BMI. I am not a really big girl to be 5'4 and 155 but my breast are a 38-DD . If your breast are large does that make a difference in the BMI scale ???? Please someone help me ......
Thank you for your reply! I am planning on staying at this board awhile:) I already like it here...There are a few things me and hubby has to do before we get this done. I am just very anxious to find out if I CAN get pregnant again. Yeah..I could loose about 10 or so pounds. I just can't wait!!!
There may be doctors closer to home, but spend some time on this board and I think you'll start seeing the reasons to travel to North Carolina. I'm heading there next week from CALIFORNIA. I was skeptical at first, and felt especially odd finding my dr. on an internet search. But, no more than a week later I was already convinced that I would travel around the world to go to Dr. Berger.
Email some of the families who have done testimonials. I did!! Several responded and answered so many questions. I drove the nurses crazy with emails, spent time in chat, etc. I have no hesitation at all.
Everyone on this board is soooo supportive and full of information, because this is our life...TUBAL REVERSAL. We research and share what we've found. It's terrific here!!

Before I decided on having Dr. B do my TR, I researched A LOT of other places to have it done. Chapel Hill is the only place that I found that will perform a TR if your BMI is over 25. Those that did have another BMI limit over 25 charged an additional $500.
Be patient with yourself while trying to obtain your BMI goal. I also have been making a lifestyle change to become better fit and lose weight. I have thyroid disease, for a year now I have watched my weight jump 30 lbs, back and forth in a matter of 8 weeks. My motivation is that all of us here already have so many odds against us (etopic pregnancies, m/c, short tubes, age, TTC and for some - waiting forever for that BFP.) I want to make sure that I am doing something beneficial by preparing the best 9 month home I can for the day I get that BFP.
You've heard it over and over again - Drink LOTS of water!!!! Eat many times a day, but make them healthy snacks. If you are eating all day and drinking water, you won't be hungry. Walk, walk, and walk some more. I have been sticking to this for 2 weeks so far and have noticed that I have shed up to three pounds a week.
