TUBAL REVERSAL MESSAGE BOARD RULES AND POLICIES:
The Tubal Reversal Message Board is a resource for existing and prospective patients of Dr. Gary Berger and Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center. This message board is to provide a forum for support and sharing information about tubal reversal surgery among this widespread community and Dr. Berger's staff at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center.
The Tubal Reversal Message Board is not the appropriate forum for discussions about IVF. Other message boards exist for this purpose. Antagonistic, abusive, or profane messages as well as solicitations for or discussions relating to other doctors are not appropriate on these forums and will result in revocation of posting privileges.
Due to the real-time nature of this message board, we (Dr. Berger and staff) may not review all messages or confirm the accuracy of information posted. We are not responsible for the contents of any message posted by a member. Messages express the views solely of the authors of the messages and do not necessarily represent the views of Dr. Berger or his staff.

Help others. The forum is a community, and works best when people share information.
Give feedback. If someone helps you by answering your question, try to add a follow-up response thanking them.
Welcome newcomers. Writing a first topic on a forum can be daunting, so please be friendly and welcoming.
Stay on topic. Our forum is for discussion of Tubal Reversal and related subjects.
When starting a topic, make sure the title is descriptive and relevant.
Increase the likelihood of starting a discussion by providing details in your comment or question.
Be patient. All the participants of this forum, including CHTRC Staff, are using the forum and participating in discussions on their own time. Please refrain from "bumping".
Do not post multiple copies of a message; pick the most appropriate place and post it once.
Do not post new questions on someone else's thread. That's called hijacking. Aside from being rude, your question may get lost in the shuffle.
Use proper spelling and grammar. Do not write entire posts in "netspeak"; it's difficult to read, and not everyone knows what the abbreviations mean.
DON'T SHOUT. Typing entire messages in all caps is the online equivalent of shouting. Besides being rude it makes the message thread more difficult to read.
Please do not give away your personal information, which includes your surname, phone number and home address.
"Flaming" is insulting another user's post, opinions, subject, grammar or pretty much anything else in an attempt to pick an online fight. While debate and disagreement are fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or inflammatory posts.
Ignore "trolls." Some people get a thrill from posting "flames" (really obnoxious messages) just to get a rise out of others. The best way to make them go away is to ignore them; they'll get bored and go somewhere else.
"Spam" (unsolicited commercial advertisement) is forbidden.
Any user who feels that a posted message is objectionable should contact us, and we will remove any messages we determine to be objectionable.

PRIVACY POLICY STATEMENT:
Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center respects the privacy and confidentiality of those who visit the Tubal Reversal – Tubal Ligation Reversal website and/or message board. The message board, however, is viewable by the public and may be indexed by search engines. To preserve the privacy and confidentiality of information you post on the message board, it is recommended that you choose a user name other than your real name. Caution should be exercised about posting your telephone number or email address since they will be in the public domain once posted.

If you identify yourself personally on the Message Board or by sending an e-mail with questions, comments, or medical history, we may use the information you have provided in order to respond to your questions, comments, or medical history. We may file your comments for future reference or use or discard the information after we have reviewed it. Personal or confidential Information from e-mails, feedback forms, or message board will not be given to any third parties without your consent or unless required by law.
Personal Information on the Message Board:
Personal or confidential information posted on a message board of our website is in the public arena, viewable by anyone and therefore could potentially be collected and used by third parties as well be indexed by search engines.
There is little security for the information you post in these public forums. You disclose such information at your own risk. To protect your personal privacy you may create a user name for posting on the message board that is not personally identifiable.
Non-personal Information and Identification and Cookie Technology:
The Tubal Reversal Site and Message Board use "cookie" technology and/or IP address tracking. These involve the collection of non-personal identification information such as the domain name or IP address from which you access the Internet, the type of browser and operating system you used to access our site, and the website you came from if following a link to our site.
